This weekend is all about freebuilding!

What it looks like (and sounds like!) is a ton of fun, imagination and ideas whizzing around the room!

BUT!

๐Ÿง  We're exchanging thoughts in a caring and confident way
๐Ÿง  We can be flexible with our plans - when that structure wobbles or a buddy has the *exact* character we wanted to include
๐Ÿง  We can collaborate - bringing two builds together into something greater than one of us thought of!
๐Ÿง  Tolerance - patience - courtesy - understanding - being understood

Ever feel ?

Or noticed someone that seems stuck?

What do you see, or hear or notice?

That's been our focus this weekend in our teams. How does it feel? What can you do? What makes the feeling of being stuck go away or change?

let's children see, hear and realise for themselves ways to notice these feelings and be in a safe place to figure it out ๐Ÿ˜Š

"When he said 'what?' I knew I had to say it again"

"They made a face, like a confused face! so that made me think they were stuck"

"I didn't know that colour they called it [beige] but then he said its like sandy coloured so I found it!"

"I asked him - is it this?"

Sometimes it's knowing, sometimes it's realising and sometimes it's having the courage to ask or check back.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Our new term is underway!

Many of our Builders have been here for a while - they have established their friendships, know the routines and show amazing skills when dealing with tricky descriptions or more complex instructions.

That's where the value in rehearse, repeat and refine shows up!

Our new building buddies are in safe hands! New places and faces can be a double reason to add onto any other nerves or wobbles that can crop up when involved with new experiences.

New beginnings rely on courage, believing in yourself and some sense of comfort that you can try to trust the others around you.

This emotional sense and strength needs to be nurtured, encouraged and recognised.

When you arrive at a new 'thing' - it can bring up lots of feelings! We were all new here once and we're still here now!

That's one of the many reasons why Play Included 's programme is so powerful and can truly support children to , have and build !
