Cabro Aviation is an aviation company with several services in our portfolio, such as:

Commercial UAS (drone) operations with an Operational Approval issues by the UK CAA both onshore and offshore. We specialize in working in Airport Flight Restriction Zones (FRZ) proving a UAS team with a Licensed Aeronautical Operator. We can provide the Radio Operator to other UAS operators who require to do work in Airport FRZs. We also offer UAS consultancy to companies requiring to undertake tasks which require additional planning and co-ordination. As the Scottish Affiliate for Commercial Drone Training, we undertake the training of personnel to obtain Commercial Approval, we also undertake examinations for the online training provider 3iC. Supply of personnel for offshore logistics operations, we have provided such services to several companies in managing the transport of personnel offshore using the Vantage POB system. We can also carry out audits and review of procedures relating to Offshore Aviation Operations, offering expertise in Telecommunication Systems as well as helideck support systems. We have also contributed to publications such as CAP437 issues by the CAA and attended sessions run by Oil & Gas UK. We have also acted as an independent party during incident investigations into looking for the Root Causes of incidents. Training of personnel for the UK-CAA ROCC-OCS (Radio Operator’s Certificate of Competence – Offshore Communication Services) course and examination. We have trained personnel for offshore installations and vessels working in the North Sea. Competency based training can also be given for personnel engaged in onshore and offshore aviation operations. This enables operators to demonstrate that personnel employed by them are given suitable training in support of their work experience. The production of historical books about north-east Scotland. Using images we take from aircraft and UASs, we not only use images in our own books but have provided local authors with images also.

On Saturday, the 21st of March / Sunday, the 22nd of March - Early am, Cabro Aviation Ltd will be undertaking drone tasks between Lossiemouth and the Covesea Lighthouse. This task is approved by RAF Lossiemouth, which issues permission on the day for the drone to be airborne.

This will be using a small drone under Cabro Aviation's Operational Authorisation, issued by the UK Civil Aviation Authority to commercial drone operators.

Cabro Aviation were undertaking drone tasks around Aberdeen International Airport at the weekend for two clients, working with full co-operation with Air Traffic Control Services. The team were busy undertaking building inspections and images for a property developer. Whilst we were in the air, we took some shots of the area, here we took pictures of the Newhills Bowling Club and The Craighaar Hotel

At the weekend, Cabro Aviation were on site at Dyce to support a drone team carry out a drone task on a clients premises. An Aeronautical Radio Operator was on site to liaise between the drone team and Aberdeen International Air Traffic Control. An additional observer was also on site ensuring any traffic or personnel movement were aware of the drone activity. As usual the task went well thanks to Aberdeen International Airport, Air Traffic Control which is provided by NATS.

The task was carried out by Air Control Entech, using a DJI Matrice M300 UAS to capture images and video of the facility. Air Control Entech are a specialist inspection company based in Aberdeen providing service to a number of industries.

Cabro Aviation have provided radio operators at a number of sites around Aberdeen International Airport for a number of drone operators, which also includes filing the required paperwork and arranging to get the geofencing on the UAS removed.

With the Permission for Commercial Operation (PfCO) now replaced with the Operational Authorisation, Cabro Aviation has just renewed the paperwork for another year as a commercial drone operator specialising in Airside work at airports.

As Scottish affiliates for Commercial Drone Training, Training to become a commercial drone operator is carried out in Aberdeen on a regular basis, face to face training will resume when COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed.

Cabro Aviation were airside at Aberdeen International Airport to capture aerial images of AGS Airport staff taking on the Run the Runways challenge for Aviation Action.

With an Airside Ops vehicle for support , our drone captured Robert, Dave and Roslynn walking the main runway at the airport in the dark. Despite heavy rain towards the end grounding the drones, the team completed the challenge as well as the unofficial 4th member - our drone operator walking behind the group as they walked the runway . A big well done to the team!

Staff at Aberdeen International Airport, Glasgow Airport and Southampton Airport are to take on a 31-day challenge throughout December. They will walk or run a different UK airport runway length each day throughout the month for Aviation Action. Aviation Action is a mental health and support charity specifically for aviation industry
