A new encyclical by Pope Leo XIV, Magnifica Humanitas, invites us to rethink what it means to be human in the age of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
It deeply resonates with the vocation of Domuni Universitas: to bring theology, philosophy, the human sciences, and technology into dialogue within a global, intercultural, and fully digital academic space.
Pope Leo XIV emphasizes that the Church does not fear engagement with human knowledge and is called to discern the “signs of the times” in conversation with the sciences. This approach echoes the very identity of an online university such as Domuni, founded on the conviction that the digital space can become a place of intellectual and spiritual encounter between peoples and cultures.
We would be glad to hear your thoughts on this reflection and on the challenges of our digital age.

Saint Thomas Aquinas would have loved the Internet age.
Writing nearly 1,000 words a day, dictating to several assistants at once, exploring multiple books simultaneously, and organizing knowledge through indexes and tables of contents, he was already living a form of collective intelligence in the 13th century.
At Domuni, we share his passion for innovation, knowledge, and making learning accessible to all.
“What if religious pluralism were not a threat to faith… but a test of truth for theology?”
Today, religions meet, interact, and sometimes clash.
Religious pluralism is no longer a theory — it is a reality.
Theology cannot ignore it.
It must think it through, discern it, and respond without abandoning truth.
Studying religious pluralism does not mean that everything is the same.
It means learning to distinguish between
dialogue and compromise,
faithfulness and withdrawal.
It means asking the real questions:
- How can we witness to our faith without denying the faith of others?
- How can we think about God in a world of many beliefs?
- Are other religions a threat to our own faith ?
Today, religions meet, interact. They question each other.
-Does encountering other beliefs challenge our faith or deepen it?
- How can we witness to our faith without denying the faith of others?
