This is one of my favorite photos from Lower Antelope Canyon. The Navajo call this formation “The Lady in the Wind” because the rock looks like a woman with her hair flowing in the breeze.

Getting the colors right in Antelope Canyon is not easy. The light reflects everywhere, and the colors can quickly look unnatural. My preset helped me bring out the rich tones and create the look I was after while keeping it natural.

You should see the original RAW file—it’s incredibly sharp. This ended up being one of my favorite photos of the year.

I see so many photographers at the beach capturing an amazing model, a beautiful sunset, or a boat in the distance, but the first few meters of the image are ruined by a distracting foreground.

Instead, get closer to the water. Look for clean sand and use the natural lines created by the waves to lead the viewer’s eye into the scene. Those leading lines can completely transform a photo.
