The List - Paris is my collection of places to go eat/drink/see in Paris as well as my teacher life and travels. Check out my instagram @thelist.paris

My name is Kristen Pereira. I am a Canadian currently working/living in Paris. Over the past few years, from my exchange here two years ago to now, I've been writing all the places I've wanted to try on a "list" that I've always referred to as The List. I decided it was time to share this list and my advice about Paris with friends, family and everyone else! :) The List - Paris includes restaurant

After many years in Paris, it’s time for me to take a break. But before I do, I wanted to make a post that generally covers the reality of living in Paris - the good and the not so good! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Stay tuned for my video/stories where I go into this post in more detail and let me know if you have anything to add to these lists! 💕

NEPALESE 🇳🇵:

MoMo House is a small hole in the wall Nepalese restaurant right off of Grands Boulevards in the 2ème restaurant. Momo is the name of the main dish which I described as a Chinese-Indian (Makes sense when you think of where Nepal is!) dumpling which comes with a dipping sauce that ressembles the texture and taste of an Indian curry, a drink, some rice and salad (10.50€ for all of that!) You can choose between steamed or pan fried (we chose pan fried) and either a beef, chicken or veggie stuffing. These were delicious and the perfect amount for a quick but tasty lunch! 💕

BRITISH 🇬🇧:

Is it worth the 45 minute walk from Oxford Centre? YES! The Perch is an off the beaten path, less tourists more locals kind of restaurant in the middle of Port Meadow, a plot of land and the Thames River that belongs to the university and is practically untouched. The location is beautiful and bucolic 🌳 and the food is always great! I always order the fish and chips (£17.45), some ordered a goat cheese, leek and tarragon tart (£15.95) and for dessert, a gingerbread, ginger caramel sticky toffee pudding (£7.95 - sticky toffee pudding is an official fav for me now 🤤) I highly recommend visiting this spot when you’re in Oxford, you won’t regret it! 💕

CAFÉ/VEGAN ☕️ 🌱 :

This vegan café in the 2nd arrondissement is very central and really nice! Although I wasn’t there for long (I came an hour before they close - and warning, they close at 4:30pm), I enjoyed the calm and chill vibes. As for food and drink, as soon as I saw a peanut butter cup (4€) I had to have it, alongside an oat milk latté (4,50€ - no extra needed for the oat milk 😉) ☕️ Did I mention they’re also laptop-friendly? 💻 Overall, it’s a great spot to try, especially for those of you who have a hard time finding vegan options in Paris! 💕

CAFÉ ☕️ :

During school vacations, I’m always on the hunt for cafés that are laptop-friendly (emphasis on the friendly since some places say yes but make you feel uncomfortable af 😅) AND have yummy things! Kafé Buki is a Japanese café, particularly specializing in “kurimus” (yes, it means cream) I ordered the Cafe Kurimu Matcha (4.50€!) with a side of Waffuru (3.50€) green heart 💚 There’s tons of space here, good vibes and friendly service. Next time, I’d like to try their siphon coffee ☕️ Highly recommend for those of you on that endless search for laptop friendly cafés! 💕
