8 months in the making.
2 visa extensions.
1 final approval.

Today, I can finally say: I am officially a French resident again.

These past 8 months tested me in every possible way. Between constant back-and-forth with the préfecture, missing documents, uncertainty, burnout, and moments where I genuinely questioned everything, there were times I felt completely exhausted.

But life kept moving anyway.

During this process, I:
• moved into my own studio apartment outside Paris
• finished my Master’s coursework
• completed my DU with ESSEC
• built partnerships and projects behind the scenes
• prioritized my mental health and growth

One thing this experience taught me is that resilience is not about never falling. It’s about refusing to stay there.
New chapter unlocked. Stay tuned 😉

I am my ancestors’ wildest dreams.
Happy Black History Month.

I carry legacy into every room I enter. The legacy of those who were denied access to education and opportunity. Those who still dreamed of freedom, success, and possibility. And those who sacrificed so I could stand here today.

A trilingual, Black, first-generation graduate from a small town in Fayetteville, North Carolina, now studying at one of the top 10 business schools in all of Europe and ranked number 2 in France, ESSEC , this reality could only have existed in their dreams.

This Black History Month, let's remember to honor those who came before us. Especially in a time like now. Their legacy lives within us, and it is our responsibility to carry that torch forward and remember we have an abundance of excellence in all of us.

New decade. Who this?
Turning trente, treinta, thirty has been… an identity shift.

Not the “my back hurts, send help” kind,
but the “wow, I made it through so much” kind.

I celebrated with love, community, and laughter, the simple things that matter most.
Grateful for everyone in my life and ready for this next era.
On continue. ✨

Something huge is dropping next week... 👀
Are you ready?

05/08/2025

Two years ago, I sold my car.

I sold my furniture.

I quit my job.

And for a few months, I lived on the couch of my best friend. I didn’t have it all figured out. What I did have was a desire to teach abroad and learn another language.

Some people thought I was being unrealistic. Others said it was risky or just a small "Emily in Paris" obsession.

But I used everything I had, took the leap… and somehow, it worked.

Fast forward to today:

- I’m fluent in French (my third language!)

- I’m finishing my second year of a Master’s in International and Intercultural Education.

-I'm teaching multiple languages abroad.

- I’ve built an international brand, a business, and a new version of myself abroad.

I’m not sharing this to say you have to do it like I did.

You don’t have to sell everything or sleep on a couch.

But I’m here to tell you: it’s possible.

If you’ve ever dreamed of moving abroad, traveling, or starting fresh in a new country, don’t let fear be the thing that holds you back.

You’ll grow. You’ll stumble. But you’ll find your rhythm.

And when you look back… you’ll be proud you said yes to the unknown.

Thank you to everyone who’s been on this journey with me. Merci à la France for teaching me so much. And to anyone reading this wondering if it’s too late or too hard...it’s not.

You’ve got this. ✨

-Anthony :)

After nearly 2 years in France 🇫🇷 , I spent 3 powerful weeks back in the U.S. 🇺🇸 and it was far from a vacation.

I hosted the first-ever Honors, saw my former students graduate, reunited with my paternal family, and spent time with my 82-year-old grandma. All while finishing my internship and submitting my 50+ page thesis in French!

This trip reminded me of my why—and just how global my support system really is.

Thank you, merci, gracias.

Still can’t believe some of the graduates I saw last week were my freshmen just a few years ago… and now they’ve got facial hair longer than mine 😭😂

Watching them walk that stage many as first-gen graduates hit me hard. I saw their growth, their struggles, and their strength. Some even asked me about life in France and said they’re inspired to go abroad too 🛫

Moments like this remind me why I’m in education. It’s about impact. It’s about planting seeds. It’s about showing what’s possible 🌍

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it 💙🎓

Back in San Antonio! 🇺🇸
After almost 2 years abroad, I’m back in the States—surprise 👋🏾

But it’s not all vacation vibes…
✍🏾 Still working remotely with OIEC
📚 Finishing my 50+ page thesis in French
🏆 Hosting the MToCC Honors
🎓 Celebrating my former students’ graduation
👵🏽 And spending time with my grandma (she’s 82!)

Half business, half joy… fully grateful.

Being back after so long overseas really has me reflecting. Everything feels different.
Ever come home after being abroad and feel like you’ve changed too?
