💡 Computation for Fabrication

📝 Required Software & Hardware and Skills:

👉Rhinoceros 7 (free versions available)
👉Grasshopper Plugins: the full list of plugins to be installed will be provided one week before the workshop
👉A second monitor is highly recommended
👉Proficiency in Grasshopper and Data-Tree + Basic understanding of Digital Fabrication techniques is required.
👉Each participant needs to work from their personal computer.

The principal software is Rhinoceros 7.0. The 90-day trial version can be downloaded from the website www.rhino3d.com/eval.html . Grasshopper 3D will be the main computational tool.

Windows 10 Operating System is highly recommended since many Grasshopper plugins still do not run on Apple IOS operating systems. If you have a Mac computer you could do a Windows 10 partition.

👩🏻‍💻 Yara Tayoun - Project Manager

♻️ Following her studies in architecture, Yara develops her experience in and design , challenging the gap between traditional craftsmanship and manufacturing technologies within an innovation hub in Beirut. A master’s degree in advanced at IAAC > Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia allows Yara to research and produce programmable reconfigurable structures. She then furthered her nexus approach to architecture, research and for the performing arts where her interactive work with filmmakers and dance companies becomes a manifesto of collaboration and circularity in the industry.

🇪🇺 Yara is currently the project manager for at Driven, a European research project focusing on co-creating resource flows in cities.

💼 She is also a consultant to project management companies, accompanying their transition towards a driven circular practice in the sector.
