PhD position available (start: 01 March 2026) — Sepsis diagnostics + Nanopore sequencing + metatranscriptomics
This PhD project is part of the RADIANT-Dx project consortium with Prof. Petra Dittrich (ETH Zürich) and Dr Andre Kahles (ETH Zürich). You will contribute to the development and validation of a metatranscriptomic RNA sequencing–based diagnostic approach for rapid sepsis diagnostics - combining host response + pathogen detection directly from blood samples.

Well, I am grateful for all the experiences that comes along with the Erasmus. One of my resolutions for this year is to help at least a few students if not all to go abroad and experience the once in a lifetime event!
