Solo Mommy Trip : Morroco

There are trips for you to recharge and there are trip that feed your soul.
Morrocco left me speechless. This is so far my favorite country.
It is not only Stunning but the People of Morrocco have my heart.

I could not even post anything as I felt it would not do it justice but In the next few posts. I will try to convey the feel of Marrakesh, the Magic of the Desert and the joy of the People.

Traveling as a mom without the kids is a totally different experience. You know you are coming back with stories and as their mom with wonderful cultural expereinces that you can not wait to share with them.

In a space where algorithms rule and trends dictate, it's easy to lose sight of the person behind the posts. 🤖 So, I'm embarking on a year-long experiment – a journey of self-expression and authenticity.

For this year I'm committing to posting what feels true to me, when it feels right. No more conforming to the invisible pressures of the algorithm gods. Just real moments, genuine smiles, and unfiltered stories.

Am I the only one that has a whole folder of baby pictures on my phone?
As mom we look back at our little babies and vividly remember the times when they were just born and feel all the feels.
This picture is one of the ones I cherish. Why? because the joy, the laughter , how I wish I captured this feeling and kept it alive throughout my motherhood.
Motherhood always felt serious, like, now that you are a mom, everything is so serious;
Gotta take care, plan, feed, give emotional support to this new being that you don't really know.
Is that the motherhood you dreamed about?

I wish I could tell the new mommy Myriam to not take things so seriously and never loose your sense of humour; laugh a lot so your child can see joy in you. Don't wait to laugh while looking t pictures and videos on your phone. Laugh now with them... be silly now.

i have been taking mommy solo trip for years now and the guilt might not be as intense but I still feel it when I leave. ​​​​​​​​
But I also know the rewards my children will get upon my return. ​​​​​​​​

When your child look at you ...what they see is what they will think motherhood is like. ​​​​​​​​
One of the reason, motherhood wasn't part of my plan as a child was how I view motherhood through my eyes. ​​​​​​​​
Seeing, the stress, the constant sacrifice of a mother, the tears, anxiety, the exhaustion. ​​​​​​​​
My Journey to my mommy selfcare was a long one but a necessary one and a non negotiable one because I want my children to see and feel my joy, laughter , patience and presence. ​​​​​​​​
And hopefully pass it on. ​​​​​​​​

I remember how I never had time for anything before kid. I was a workaholic. ​​​​​​​​
Then all of the sudden, kids joined in and magically I made time for them, I made space for them. ​​​​​​​​
All moms did! So if you can make time in your already busy life for your children, you can find time to take a 30 mins break a day. ​​​​​​​​

You owe it to yourself to love yourself first. ​​​​​​​​

I think often of the woman, partner, mother, my little girl is going to be and all i want is, for her to enjoy her journey of life. Stand in her truth and never loose her sense of wander. ​​​​​​​​

I can only show her by example of how the journey of life can be all that I wish for her. ​​​​​​​​
