End of Semester BBQ 🍗

📅 29th May 2026 at 6pm
📍 Oetlinger Buvette

Please bring your own food to grill (bear in mind that this is a public grill so if you have any dietary requirements, please prepare your food beforehand to prevent cross contamination)

We will be providing some drinks, and it’s first-come-first-serve, but if you’re craving something specific, please bring it on your own. There’s also a bar nearby if you wanna grab a fresh beer or aperitif.

There is no need to sign up. Just come and have a chill evening with us!

Wine Tasting in Lavaux🍇 🌸

Join us for an unforgettable day in the beautiful Lavaux region, famous for its breathtaking views over Lake Geneva, endless vineyards and the Swiss Alps🌞

The day will start with exploring Lausanne before we continue with a scenic walk through the Lavaux vineyards, including several wine tasting stops, stunning panoramic views and the best spring vibes with Erasmus students from all over Switzerland.
To finish the day properly, we’ll head to the legendary afterparty 🪩

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!
Join us for a day trip to Europa Park, Germany’s largest and most famous theme park. Take a well deserved break before exam season and enjoy an epic spring day full of adrenaline, fun rides, and great company🌞

This time, we’ll be joined by our friends from ESN Fribourg, ESN FHNW, ESN Neuchâtel, ESN Winterthur and ESN Freiburg (Germany), the perfect opportunity to meet lots of Erasmus students 🫂

📅 When? Thursday, 14.05.2026
🕤 Meeting Point: Badischer Bahnhof, Main Entrance Hall
⏰ Departure: 7:30 a.m.

⛰️ Hiking Seealpsee – Appenzell ⛰️

Join us for a full-day hike to one of Switzerland’s most iconic spots: the Seealpsee alpine lake and the famous Äscher cliff (the one on the National Geographic cover)! 🏞️🏔️

We’ll do the full 11.2 km scenic loop in Appenzell – up to the spectacular Äscher cliff restaurant for a picnic at the top, then down through Ebenalp to the alpine lake, and back to the train station.

📅 WHEN: Sunday, 10th May 2026

📍 MEETING POINT: Basel SBB in front of the Migros flower shop – 7:15 AM (we’ll be back at around 9:00 PM)

💰 COSTS:
ESNcard Holders: 8 CHF
Exchange Students without ESNcard: 10 CHF
Everyone else: 12 CHF

🎒 INCLUDED: Train tickets

🧳 WHAT TO BRING: Packed lunch + snacks, 1.5 L of water, hiking shoes, layers (it can get cold up there, 8–12 °C), sunscreen + cap, fully charged phone

⚠️ Difficulty: INTERMEDIATE - T3 on the Swiss SAC scale – 11.2 km, 730 m up & down, ~5–6h walking. This is not a stroll!

⚠️ Event might be postponed in case of very bad weather conditions.

Are you ready for the adventure? 🌟Hop on board the Train Rally and get ready for an unforgettable day of fun, challenges, and new friendships as you crisscross the stunning corners of Switzerland!

🚂 How it works: You’ll travel by train with a team of 10–15 participants, discovering three to four incredible Swiss cities in a single day. Compete in thrilling challenges, collect points as a team, and cross paths with ESN exchange students from all over Switzerland along the way.

🎉 The grand finale: The day wraps up with an epic party at a secret last destination, where you’ll celebrate with exchange students from across Switzerland.

📍 Where: All over Switzerland, the destinations are top secret!

You love books and are looking forward to spending a chill & bookish afternoon in Basel?💐📚🍪☕️

This is your possibility to surround yourself with books and booklovers. 📚🩷

✨How it works:

- Bring the book you’re currently reading or (if possible) one of your favorite books. If you want to, you can present your book and thoughts (no spoilers please!) to us, as we’re looking for new ideas on what to read next! You can present, engage in discussions about literature (whatever your favorite genre is!) or just listen to others present and get some new ideas! We can also take some time to just read together. 📚

What to bring:
- Some reading snacks if you want!
- A book to present (voluntarily)
- A book to read in
