【教練的話08】機械人隊世一❤️❤️❤️

十二載教練生涯，好慶幸建立左一個不大但不小既校友網絡，更加無諗到，呢個校友網絡，可以覆蓋到遠在歐洲既法國小鎮。能夠成行出發去法國比賽，有賴一班係背後默默出力既校友。作為隊既教練，想借呢度好衷心咁答謝呢班師弟。呢班師弟既付出，無論花幾多錢、請幾好既導遊，都無辦法代替，因為呢班師弟，全部係無償幫忙、分文不取！能夠教過你地每一位，絕對係我既榮幸，你地每一位既心意、誠意，勝過任何世界冠軍既獎項！祝願你地每位畢業後都前程似錦，發左達記得提攜下小弟呀😝😝😝！除左多謝，仲係多謝！放心我請食飯，有拖無欠！😂😂😂

Having served the team as team coach for 12 years, I was so delighted to establish an alumni network of the Robotics Team. Never would I have imagined that such a network would cover a small tourist town all the way over in europe. This trip would have never been a success without the selfless help from all the unsung heroes, our past teammates. Money can never buy such brotherhood or what they have devoted. Such valueless bonding across ages has touched the bottom of my heart, as it is more precious than any world awards or medals, and I would like to thank each of you for everything! Wish you all the very best and keep in touch!

【教練的話07】鳴謝系列——遠在法國的機械人隊的卸任隊員

Jackson仲幫手張羅同學們既膳食，因爲同學要參賽，儘量會選擇腸胃容易接受既餐種，以免水土不服而耽誤比賽，Jackson就幫手係市中心揀D適合既餐廳，仲要預先訂枱，有時候餐廳唔大，同學們仲要分開兩間餐廳用餐。帶一次比賽唔係一件容易既事，我地無辦法控制食物既質素，但Jackson既付出、對師弟們無微不至既關顧，絕對係米芝蓮三星⭐️⭐️⭐️既級別。教練我無以為報，只能請Jackson食餐好既答謝，唔係一餐，係兩餐！Thanks so much for your help Jackson！

Jackson also took care of students' meals. Since the students needed to compete for 4 whole days in the venue, food was carefully chosen for the students to help them acclimatize. Jackson helped book the tables, and sometimes split them into groups if tables were not enough in one restaurant. Organizing an overseas trip was no easy task. We could not guarantee the food quality, but one thing we can guarantee, is that Jackson’s dedication and care-mindedness definitely deserves a MICHELIN Guide's 3-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ standard! Thanks so much for your help Jackson!

【教練的話06】鳴謝系列——遠在法國的機械人隊卸任隊員
#長天機械

就係即將出發去法國之前，當地爆發示威，同學及家長都擔心行程安全，紛紛查詢行程會否受到示威影響。Jackson知道我地既擔憂後，細心同我地解釋當地既情況，包括當地既治安、公共交通營運安排，仲講好多當地既文化、習慣等等；而且佢話會去機場接機，陪學生們去酒店，免卻我地落地時既彷徨，令我地安心好多。Jackson作爲半個當地人，亦好細心咁講解係法國既種種生活習慣、風俗等，例如係公共地方要儘量減低聲浪、出門唔好着MK廁所拖鞋、乘坐交通工具既注意事項等等。

Protests broke out just before we went to France.Students and parents alike were concerned about the situation and safety, and if our trip would be affected. I raised our concerns to Jackson and he patiently described the security measures and transportation arrangements in Bordeaux. He emphasized that the local situation was much better than what was described in the news. He explained further about the French culture and practices, such as lowering voices at public places and dress codes, just to help us integrate into this vastly different country and local culture..

【教練的話05】鳴謝系列——遠在法國的機械人隊卸任隊員

下一位要多謝既，就係遠在法國波爾多讀書既師弟Jackson，2018既畢業生。知道去到法國比賽之後，我開始籌備行程。惆悵緊唔識講法文既時候，突然記起有一屆既隊員去左法國讀書，然後就即刻IG PM佢。然後佢就同我講話佢係波爾多讀緊書！然後我就好唔客氣咁請佢到時過黎幫手充當導遊及翻譯。Jackson二話不說，爽快答應！係我準備行程資料既時候，Jackson主動出謀獻策，搜尋合適既酒店同交通等等。因爲比賽會場位處郊外，Jackson亦好細心考慮學生們既往來交通，建議我地揀D市中心靠近Tram Station既酒店。旅行社既導遊都唔一定會幫團員打點得咁周到，但係Jackson既拔刀相助，令學生們係異域都有一份同門情誼既親切感，為佢地比賽打下強心針。

Jackson it's your turn haha! Back in early June, I started researching and preparing for the trip to France once I knew we were qualified and I got stuck on the language barrier. When figuring out what to do, I remembered that Jackson, our former Robotics Team member who graduated in 2018, was studying in France. I contacted him on Instagram, and he told me that he is currently studying and living in Bordeaux, and more importantly, he agreed to spare us the whole week to come help us! Jackson gave us suggestions on hotel locations and transportation. Since the tournament venue was outside the town, Jackson also considered the traveling difficulties when the students were carrying robots and materials to the venue. He suggested we should choose hotels downtown, near the tram stations.These are something tour guides from travel agencies would not have considered simply because they may never have had such experiences. With the help of Jackson, students felt the sense of brotherhood of CSWCSS, and a sense of encouragement.

【教練的話04】鳴謝系列——4位鼎力相助既義務教練
#長天機械

唔單只係中國賽，當知道師弟們係中國賽奪冠，出線去法國打世界賽既時候，4位義務教練亦主動請纓，幫手繼續訓練師弟，準備世界賽。有左佢地，我放心好多，因爲佢地正正就係2021年既世界冠軍！能夠有佢地幫手分享經驗、傳授對戰技巧，同埋幫師弟繼續做針對訓練，師弟們既軟硬件技術都突飛猛進。更更重要既係，其中兩位教練Thomas同Benny願意自費跟隊去法國幫手！單單係機票及住宿就已經各自掏腰包港幣近2萬！10日既行程，教練幫手處理同學們比賽遇到既各種問題，帶學生往來酒店同會場，張羅膳食等等。好多謝幾位師弟願意出錢出力，鼎力相助，令長天機械薪火相傳，令機械人隊既師兄弟情誼發光發熱。

Once the coaches knew the team had qualified for the international tournament, they offered their continuous support and more training sessions. I was very relieved because they themselves were the world champions of RoboCup 2021! With their selfless support and sharing of tactics and experiences, teammates improved drastically in both hardware and software skills. Furthermore, Thomas and Benny offered to go to France with the students, FOR FREE AGAIN! Only flight tickets and accommodation costed them HKD20,000 each! During the 10-day trip, they stayed with the students, providing technical support and advice, while also escorting them between the hotel, venue and restaurants. You all have my greatest gratitude for being a generous, benevolent role model to everyone. Thank you for passing on the torch to future generations and to gather our brotherhood.

【教練的話03】鳴謝系列——4位鼎力相助既義務教練
#長天機械

能夠成功出發去法國比賽，背後有好多有心人默默付出，為呢班小師弟掃除法國征途上既大小絆腳石。作爲第一屆既隊員、現任既校隊教練，我好想借呢個平台，衷心咁答謝每一位。首先要多謝既，就係4位鼎力相助既義務教練：Thomas、Marco、Benny、Justin。佢地係剛剛長天畢業既校友，亦係上屆既機械人隊隊員。知道呢班師弟參加國家選拔賽之後，佢地義務返黎幫師弟做左前後6個星期既訓練，幫師弟熟悉中國賽既賽制、玩法。中國賽有個項目難度特別大，教練們為左畀師弟有更充分準備，出左幾份模擬試題，針對隊員既弱點去加強訓練。而隊員們都無負衆望，付出百二分既努力，順利係國家賽奪得冠軍。4位教練可謂勞苦功高，更重要既係佢地分文不取，係繁重既大學學業中抽空返母校幫手，好想同4位出心出力既師弟致以衷心既謝意！

It was never easy to organize such a big event to send students overseas for competitions. As a former team member, and current team coach, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who offered selfless help to the team. First of all, our 4 volunteer team coaches: Benny, Justin, Marco and Thomas. They were freshly graduated in 2022, and were former Robotics Team members. They provided 6 weeks of intensive training for teammates to familiarize with the game and rules once they knew we joined the national tournament. One particular section of the game was challenging. Coaches created several sets of mock papers targeting the weakness of teammates. I would like to give them my heartfelt thanks for sparing time and effort in helping the team, FOR FREE, for their alma mater.

【教練的話02】長天機械人隊參加RoboCup世界賽
#長天機械

呢個比賽真係一啲都唔易玩架，隊員為左參加國家公開賽，接受左爲期接近9個月既密集式訓練，先可以達到世界水準，參加世界級既比賽。經過4日比賽，機械人隊取得了相當滿意的成績，最後係Superteam既項目排名第三！能夠係一個國際級既比賽攞到入場券已經十分唔容易，取得咁前既名次亦係十分喜出望外。再次恭喜機械人隊既每一位隊員！sunfusai (sumsum eye)

To prepare for the world-class tournament, all teammates joined intensive training over 9 months, including both hardware and software training. After 4 days of competitions, our team got a satisfying 3rd place in the Superteam Category. Congratulations to all team members! Sunfusai!

【教練的話01】長天機械人隊參加RoboCup2023世界賽
#長天機械

剛剛過去既7月，長天機械人隊代表香港同國家，參加RoboCup世界賽。今次係長天歷史性第四次奪得國家出線權，遠征法國波爾多參加一年一度既盛事。今年既比賽係7月6-9日係法國波爾多會展中心舉辦，吸引來自超過40個國家、超過2000位大學及中小學生代表國家及地區參加比賽。長天機械人隊參加既係青少年組既足球輕量組。同FIFA足球世界盃一樣，要攞到呢個項目既出線權，首先要參加國家公開賽。而中國既國家公開賽就係5月係天津舉辦，而我地機械人隊係國家賽過五關斬六將，勇奪冠軍，順利取得世界賽既出線權。

On July 6-9, CSWCSS Robotics Team represented HK and China and joined the RoboCup World Championship 2023, held in Bordeaux, France. This is the 4th time our team joined the world championship since the team was formed. We are so honored to get the quota and join one of the biggest robotics tournaments in the world, attracting over 2000 students from over 40 countries. Just like the FIFA World Cup, we needed to win the national RCJ trial to get the quota. The RoboCup China Open 2023 was held in Tianjin in late May, and we won the game and got the ticket to France!

由1999年起已經有13個國家、
超過16,000名學生參與。

BottleSumo 係比賽入面較受歡迎既項目，
機械人需要係擂台上進行相撲。

一年一度既 #創新科技嘉年華係今日完滿落幕。係啱啱過去既星期六，大會舉辦左「 #應用可再生能源設計暨競技大賽」。比賽旨在推廣可再生能源嘅科技應用，自舉辦以來一直獲得學界既支持。透過比賽，學生及社區人士可親身嘗試應用太陽能或其他可再生能源科技，設計、製造及測試模型車及互相交流同觀摩。

今屆比賽長天都有參賽，雖然今次未有獲獎，但係相信各位參賽同學汲取今次比賽經驗，係未來既比賽再接再厲。
