Living la vida offline 👾 Besides going on a 4-week campervan trip, which in itself is a pretty foolproof way to spend less time online, here’s what I did to minimise the digital noise during our recent holiday:
🌀Professional email — deleted
🌀LinkedIn — deleted
🌀Telegram (where my coaching clients usually have voice access to me between sessions) — deleted
🌀Instagram — kept it, but only checked in occasionally (I’ve been using Opal recently, which has completely changed my scrolling habits)
🌀WhatsApp — kept it… and definitely checked it the most (Genuinely curious: does anyone delete WhatsApp while on holiday? If so, how do you make it work?)
Most of my phone use was actually practical: finding and booking campsites, checking wildfire apps (the reality of travelling through France during a heatwave), checking garages (you bet), and staying in touch on WhatsApp.
I’m seriously thinking of removing WhatsApp for the next holiday entirely, and sending more postcards instead. what’s your take on protecting your digital peace of mind on holidays?
