This is a prototype of a format we’ve been working on for several months. It came about as we are started to ask these questions of ourselves as importers and of the industry at large:
If a wine is hand-harvested, whose hands are doing the harvesting?
Why are human details interpreted as inferior to tech specs?
Why aren't pickers considered part of the vintage report? (as stated succinctly by our friend )
Why are we counting the invisible (mg of sulfur) instead of the visible (people in a field)?
We would love your feedback as we work to finalize these and publish them to our website across all the winemakers in our book.
Thanks to for layout assistance and art direction

Sylvain Bock and his team of twelve harvesters are here to transport you to the North Pole of the South of France
🧣 À LA FRAÎCHE... 2019
Tropical meets mineral in this genre-bending blend of Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Exactly the type of juice to quench your thirst while cutting a path through the rugged wilds of the Ardèche. Sauvignon Blanc (90%) and Chardonnay (10%), lightly macerated for five days.
🧣 LA P'TITE GOUTTE 2019
A little drop of glou glou Grenache to whet your appetite for what’s to come. Free run juice of carbonic maceration; aged eight months in fiberglass. The amuse-bouche of the lineup.
🧣 BASCULE 2019
The “northern limit” of Carignan : delicate flowers do all the talking, while full-fledged fruit is kept to a whisper. Semi-carbonic; two weeks of whole cluster. Ethereal.
🧣 REVIENS GAMAY ! 2019
Land-meets-sea in this quixotic blend of Gamay from black basalt soils (the ancient land) and Chardonnay from chalky limestone (the ancient sea). Generous fruit coupled with a beautiful backbone of acid serves to awaken animal instincts. Fifteen days of carbonic.

Premier Jus, one of ’ crown jewels, has made it to the big leagues.
She’s been sold out for some time, but you can now find her tucked away in ’s December wine box thanks to .wine 🎯💎

・・・
Super excited to announce that one of our favorite wines: Premier Jus by Fond Cyprès, is chosen by Miami-based sommelier, Bianca Sanon of Paradis Book & Bread for the Eater Wine Club in partnership with MYSA!
Bianca says, “Some people don’t consider a chuggable, so-called ‘glou glou’ wine when picking out a bottle for a special occasion. But this light, easy-to-drink wine — somewhere between a dark rosé and a light red — is ideal for that hangover brunch or first real dinner of the new year. For me, it’s exactly what I want to drink at a New Year’s Day barbecue with friends, winding down after weeks of holiday planning and festivities.”
Cheers 🍷

Seems like it’s once in a blue moon these days that things just fall into place. Yet our dear friend ’s wines have landed in the hands of our dear friends . A trip from Franciacorta to NY to Chicago can seem like a big feat in 2020, but they have indeed arrived safe and sound 🔮
Go taste Alessandra’s alchemic creations before they sell out as quickly as they did here in NY (all we have left is a few cases of Blanc de Blancs, and the Blanc de Noirs, off-menu 🦊 🥂)
There just so happens to be a blue moon tonight, so now’s your chance 👉
