A couple of my groups made onigiri last month and it made me think a lot about all the amazing foods around the world that are made with care by hand. Simple little gifts.
Someone sent me a quiz to find out what kitchen age I am. I thought about it a lot - remembering the seasons of my relationship with foodâstudying, cooking, serving, and promoting it.
It can be hard to find the giddy excitement in the weeknight slog of meal preparation, but a nostalgic project bake brings it right back.
I am grateful that I get to work with all ages in the kitchen to revisit these moments of wonder, pride and inspiration every week â€ïž

In 2025 the mission of Fork Life & Spoon came to fruition: Creating a space for people to play and connect in the kitchen using all of our senses- free from grind, perfection culture, and nutrition dogma. Returning to the basic human act of preparing food as an activity that can deliver so much joy, curiosity, creativity and pride.
I have learned a great deal about myself this year through the interactions with so many different groups at the table. The big take away is that I will never have it all figured out and that is part of what keeps it excitingđ
