Humans of the World Humans of the World. Seeing the world through photos and stories of its people I met along my strolls around the world for the last three years. Welcome.

As a young student of architecture I learnt that before any measurement is taken and the first sketch drawn, one has to explore in detail the unique genius loci. Light, colors, sounds, smells….all these need to be observed and taken into account with great respect. After several years of practice, I also started to feel urgent need to get to know my own self. So I decided to approach it in a similar way. It was not possible to discover who I am without talking to people who at first sight had little in common with me. People from far away corners of the globe, with different backgrounds and contrasting life perspectives. I look at every person I meet as a tiny piece of puzzle that can eventually fit onto a board of my own nature and character. That’s why I took to the road more than 3 years ago. And my adventure is not a lonely one. The stories of humans of the world I’ve captured along the way are here for anybody who may find in them something to relate to. Adil Gherib
