Friday 26th June was the last day of our FNU Trainees, Miss Kiti ( Agr.Sc graduate) & Mr John (IA Graduate). We were fortunate to have crossed paths with you this term and that you chose Basden College as a school to do your Practical in. We wish them both the very best in their future schools.

The School was blessed to have KOICA group visit us for the 2nd time this year. The theme of the Day was Korean Culture Day. The Year 9 & 10 students were involved in the activities planned for the day. They thoroughly enjoyed the program for the day. The school appreciates KOICA for their donation of 30 Desks & Chairs that has also relieved a lot of students that have been using aged desks & chairs.

The School will be having 7 class period per day from Monday to Thursday every week. This will begin in Week 4 and it is a way forward for the Teaching & Learning process to enable us to complete Coverage by the end of Term 2 for all levels.

"THEME: VISION TO BUILD,COURAGE TO LEAD"
Our Social Science Department ( Mr Talau & Mr Toanitoga) along with the Vosa Vakaviti Teachers ( Mrs Lotawa, Mr Tabaki & Mrs Sekikorolevu) & the Commerce Dept ( Mrs Toanitoga & Mrs Bulivakarua) with some yr 12 & yr 13 students helped organized the program. We are also grateful to our parents & guardians for their support in terms of the students costumes and a special thanks to the Students that participated.

Basden also welcomed our new school Vice Principal, Mr Sanjay Naidu from MGM. We are blessed to have such a very experienced and passionate Admin to join and help lead the school for the rest of the Academic year. We were also joined by Madam Sereseini Lesi. Our students and staff are blessed to have you both join us and help prepare them for this academic year. We also welcome SIster Miria Taunaholo back to also help students and teachers with their Spiritual Growth.

Basden College began Term 2 on a bit of a rocky start. Two of our teachers were transferred to another school. We are happy for them and their family since the transfer also came with Promotion.
Mr Veremo Qalica, our former Vice Principal was promoted to School Principal at Nuku Secondary School in Serua while Mr Akuila Wainiqolo was posted to Vatukaloko Secondary School in Rakiraki.
Thank you Sir (s) for the memories and the bond shared. May this new journey bring you both success, happiness, and endless blessings.

We will be having 7 classes per day from Monday to Thursday in Week 12 & Week 13 as a way to recover classes that we didn't attend while we took extra breaks after Easter due to TC Vaianu.
Below is Our Persiod 7 Classes and the Bell Time. Normal Classes now begin at 8am and finish at 3.45pm.
