CMF College is pleased to announce the successful completion of Phase 2 of its sports ground development project, marking another important milestone in the enhancement of the college's sporting facilities.

The recently completed phase involved extensive ground drainage works, which were undertaken by Kumar Earth Works. The project was made possible through financial support of $24,000 provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The completion of the drainage infrastructure represents a significant step toward improving the quality, usability, and long-term sustainability of the college grounds. Proper drainage will help ensure safer playing conditions and reduce the impact of adverse weather on sporting activities.

Building on this progress, CMF College now looks forward to commencing Phase 3 of the development project. This next stage will include:
Topsoil leveling and ground preparation
Grass planting and turf establishment
Installation of rubber running tracks

These improvements are expected to further enhance the sporting environment for students and provide a modern, safe, and functional facility that supports athletic development and community engagement.

CMF College extends its sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for its continued support and investment in youth and sports development. The college also acknowledges the professional work carried out by Kumar Earth Works in successfully delivering Phase 2 of the project.

As the development progresses, CMF College remains committed to providing quality sporting infrastructure that promotes student well-being, encourages participation in sports, and contributes to the overall development of young people.

As we celebrate the life and legacy of Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna, we are proud to honor his vision and leadership through the unity of the three confederacies Kubuna Confederacy, Burebasaga Confederacy, and Tovata Confederacy.

The celebration was beautifully marked with traditional songs, traditional attire, and the richness of the vosa vakaViti, reflecting the strength of our culture and heritage. We were also privileged to have Mr. Preston Centuolo share his motivational words and inspiring message with our students, encouraging them to strive for excellence and leadership.

As we carry forward the values of unity, respect, and service, we are excited and ready for PTI tomorrow.

Our first school assembly for Term Two 2026 was successfully conducted with important reminders shared with all students. Students were encouraged to maintain a stable mindset, become good decision-makers, and practice effective time management. They were also reminded that the choices they make reflect their upbringing and values, and most importantly, to honor God in all that they do.

As we approach term 2 ; Week 9 is the Mid-Year Examinations a very important exam . We thank all parents for their continued commitment and support towards their children’s education and wellbeing.

The Head of School also highlighted that absenteeism will not be tolerated during this critical period, especially for students preparing for external examinations. Regular attendance is essential for academic success.

Let us continue to work together in guiding and supporting our students. As the scripture reminds us, “With God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26

As we kick-start Academic Term 2, we were encouraged and reminded through 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to uphold biblical principles in all that we do and to work with dedication, integrity, and gratitude.

We are also honored to acknowledge the support and partnership of Pacific Australia Skills and DT Global, particularly their focus on the Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusions PD sessions with our teachers . This serves as an important reminder of our shared responsibility to create a learning and working environment that is inclusive, respectful, and empowering for every individual in our community.

Years later, that dream became a reality when he graduated with a Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Mechanical) (Level 4) from FNU’s College of Engineering, Technical, Vocational Education and Training (CETVET).

Originally from Vunisei Naceva in Kadavu, Tauva said his passion for aviation inspired him to pursue the programme.

“As a child, I was always fascinated by aircraft and how they operated,” he said.

“I knew from a young age that I wanted to work in the aviation industry.”

Tauva described graduating as a proud and rewarding moment for both himself and his family, who supported him throughout his studies.

“There were challenges along the way, but I remained focused because I wanted to fulfil my dream,” he said.

The young graduate said he is now eager to apply the knowledge and practical skills he gained through the programme in maintaining and servicing aircraft.

“I look forward to contributing to the aviation industry and assisting with aircraft maintenance,” he said.

“Safety is very important in this field, and I want to do my part well.”
