🎓 A PROUD MILESTONE FOR APMT – CERTIFICATE III IN COMMUNITY HEALTH GRADUATION 2026 🎓

On 14 August 2026, Australian Pacific Management & Training PTE LTD (APMT) proudly celebrated the graduation of our Certificate III in Community Health (Addressing HIV and AIDS) – Level 3 graduates at the Novotel Suva Lami Bay Hotel.

It was a truly special occasion as we celebrated the achievements, dedication and perseverance of our graduates who successfully completed an intensive 18-week programme, complemented by practical work placement, equipping them with valuable knowledge and practical skills to contribute to Fiji’s community health sector.

We were deeply honoured to have Dr. Sailosi Soqo, Team Leader for Harm Reduction, SRH and HIV Unit, Fiji, join us as our Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. His presence and inspiring words of encouragement made the occasion even more meaningful as our graduates prepare to take their knowledge and skills into communities across Fiji.
We were equally privileged to welcome the distinguished leadership of the Fiji Higher Education Commission (HEC Fiji), including Madam Chairperson of the Higher Education Commission, Ms. Rokobua Naiyaga, and Director of HEC Fiji, Dr. Eci Naisele.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the representatives of the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS), representatives of Government Ministries, our valued industry partners, healthcare organisations and stakeholders, members of the APMT Advisory Board, and our dedicated trainers, assessors and staff for joining us in celebrating this important achievement.

This graduation represents far more than the completion of a qualification. It represents the development of a new generation of community health workers equipped to support health awareness, prevention, education and community-based responses to HIV and other important health challenges facing Fiji.
The significance of this programme is particularly important given the growing need for skilled community health personnel in Fiji. Through this programme, our graduates have gained knowledge and practical experience that can help them contribute meaningfully to their communities and to the broader health system.

At APMT, we believe that education creates opportunity, but skilled, compassionate and committed people create change. We are proud to have played a part in preparing these graduates for their next chapter.

Australian Pacific Management & Training (APMT) was represented at the Pacific Subregional Meeting on Population Ageing: Building Capacities for the Fifth Review and Appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing, held in Suva on 27–28 August 2026.

The meeting brought together stakeholders to reflect on population ageing in the Pacific, share experiences, and strengthen approaches to supporting older persons and promoting healthy and active ageing.

As part of the engagement, APMT also had the opportunity to disseminate information on our Certificate III in Individual Support programme and other health and aged-care-related courses, highlighting pathways for individuals seeking to develop skills and qualifications in aged care and ageing support.

At APMT, we believe that building a skilled workforce is an essential part of responding to the changing needs of an ageing Pacific population. Through quality training and workforce development, we can contribute to more capable, compassionate and culturally responsive care for older people. The Business Development and Training Manager, Mr. Salesh Kumar took a lead role in this important exercise.

𝐀𝐏𝐌𝐓 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐈𝐕 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

APMT was proud to be an endorsing partner of the Pacific HIV Symposium 2026, an important regional forum bringing together health leaders, clinicians, nurses, policymakers and community organisations from across the Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.

The Symposium focused on strengthening regional knowledge and collaboration around HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care, while also addressing sexual and reproductive health and coinfections as part of a coordinated regional response.

For APMT, supporting initiatives such as this aligns closely with our commitment to building capability in community health and contributing to stronger health outcomes in Fiji and across the Pacific.

We are pleased to have supported a forum that encourages evidence-based approaches, shared learning and stronger regional networks in the continuing response to HIV.
