We are sorry to announce the passing away of Swami Damodaranandaji Maharaj at Belur Math, India on 13 July 2014. He was 95. He will be cremated at Belur Math on 14th July 2014) at 9 pm (Indian Time).

Swami Damodaranandaji had served in Fiji for 24 years from 1977 to 2000. His friendly and loving nature endeared him to one and all. He was instrumental for significant developments at Swami Vivekananda High School, Vivekananda Technical centre, Ramakrishna Mission Primary School (Tailevu) as well as service to the poor and needy.

A memorial service will be held in his honour as follows:
Venue: Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Malolo, Nadi
Date & time: 10 am on Sunday, 27th July 2014
