VISITING SUNDAY REMINDER

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please take note of the following important reminders regarding our first Visiting Sunday for Term 2:

1.Visiting Sunday & Revision Week

• This Sunday marks our first Visiting Sunday for the term and also falls during Revision Week before the Mid-Year Examinations commence next week.

2.Attendance at the church service is compulsory for all students, and parents and guardians are encouraged to join us in worship.

3. Supporting Your Child's Academic Preparation
• This is an ideal opportunity to provide your child with examination necessities such as stationery, study materials, and other academic supplies.
• Parents are encouraged to use this time to motivate, encourage, and support their sons as they prepare for these important examinations.

4.Dormitory & Personal Requirements
• Parents may also bring any missing uniform items, kit items, toiletries, bedding, or other essential personal belongings required for dormitory life.

5.No Special Leave
• Please be advised that no special leave will be granted during this period, as students are expected to remain on campus and focus fully on their examination preparations.

6. Family, House & Form Discussions
• Visiting Sunday provides a valuable opportunity for families, house groups, and form groups to meet and discuss matters relating to academics, discipline, student welfare, support systems, and any other needs that will contribute to student success.

6. Parking Arrangements
• The Principal's Quarters and the Main Foyer area are strictly out of bounds for parking.

• Ample parking space is available at Druavesi Park, the school playground, areas behind the Main School Block, and along the Nukuvuto Beach side of the campus.

• Parents and visitors are kindly requested to follow all parking directions and cooperate with school officials.

𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐋𝐄 𝐀𝐓 𝐐𝐕𝐒

Last night marked a historic chapter in the journey of Queen Victoria School with the official launching of Moodle at QVS. Our Year 13 students, together with their laptops, stepped into a new era of learning as they explored the online platform that will help prepare them for tertiary education next year. It was more than just technology being introduced. It was the opening of a new door for the future of education at Vulinituraga.

While Moodle has already been used in some schools, this milestone at QVS carries special meaning for our students, staff, and wider school community. We sincerely acknowledge the Ministry of Education and the hardworking team behind the scenes who made this possible, especially in setting up the new Starlink system to improve internet connectivity within the school. We also thank the school administration, the Principal, and everyone who contributed in turning this vision into reality, not only through words but through action.

In a world facing economic hardship and many daily challenges, education must continue to move forward. Last night was like lighting a lantern for the next generation, giving our boys access to opportunities beyond the classroom walls. QVS is now sailing into the waters of E-learning, ensuring that our students are not left standing on the shore while the world moves ahead.

As the Bible reminds us in Proverbs 24:27, “Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.” Last night was part of that preparation. We are planting seeds today so our students can reap greater opportunities tomorrow.

The future of education is here, and QVS is ready to walk boldly into it.
