Dear parents and guardians

The Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Development and Statistics is rolling out the Back to School Support.

Eligibility and Application Criteria
1. Support will be provided on a per-child basis for families earr parental annual gross income. Each student enrolled in ECE, Primary and Secondary school will receive $200 in assistance- for the 2023 school year.
2. Families with children enrolled in ECE to Year 13 without transportation assistance can fill out a simple MPAiSA/MyCASH/Post Fiji account details to receive assistance. Those who qualify for transportation assistance, there will be no need for them to fill the forms
3. Families earning below $50,000 annually whose children who do not currently receive transportation can apply for Back-to-School Support through the forms available at schools from Thursday, 11 January 2023. However, applicants will need to verify their income through a Statutory Declaration and an authorized person to fill in Section C of the application form. Parents can obtain the hardcopy manual application form from the school beginning Thursday, 11th January 2023.
4. The manual application form will gather details of parents for payment. Only one phone number must be provided. Payments will be received via mpaisa or mycash.

Timeframe and Deadlines
1. From 11 January 2023, these forms will be available in all parents and submitted to the Heads of Schools.
2. The Ministry of Education will be submitting the application forms to
Ministry of Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development for processing on 20 January 2023.
3. All applications will close on 20 January 2023.
