These are slowly becoming the new must-haves of the designer tool belt, so learning them in university is a great way to get one step ahead as a future young professional. First Steps in Footwear Design

First year HAMK design students are on a roll! In the last two weeks they were completing their first ever footwear project - an imaginative pair of slippers 🩴

With guidance they were able to go through all steps of the process: sketching, prototyping, material testing and manufacturing. They learned new techniques and equipment, got to work with new mediums, and achieved incredible results! New footwear design stars in the making, perhaps 🤩

If you’re wondering how much of student life revolves around food... it’s quite a lot 😄

In HAMK Valkeakoski the cafeteria staffs are literally the sweetest, the lunch is delicious and comes with a surprise dessert to look forward to. For me, lunch is more like a feeling, it’s time to catch up with my friends, take a break and find motivation for the rest of the day.

Funday 2026🗣🔥

A day full of games, activities, laughs, rain🫩, and making new friends and meeting new people

Funday is all about making our freshmen students get to know to each other, make new friends, and also have fun along the way

From playing tabletop games, monopoly, to taking shelter from the rain, and playing bowling indoors
