DeepSeek’s AI assistant has made waves in Silicon Valley, gaining attention for its cost-effective development.

In response, Chinese tech giants like ByteDance and Alibaba are accelerating efforts to refine their AI models.

DeepSeek’s founder, Liang Wenfeng, stressed the company’s commitment to artificial general intelligence (AGI) over engaging in price wars, pointing out the limitations of major tech firms.

The truth about the DeepSeek controversy...

Big Tech has been selling us a story:
"Only we can build AI"
"Only we have the resources"
"Only we know the way"

Then DeepSeek showed up and said:
"Hold my beer"

No mansions in Silicon Valley.
No fleet of Teslas.
No army of PhDs.

Just a small team who asked:
"What if we worked smarter?"

They ditched the gold-plated approach:
→ Gaming GPUs instead of $40k units
→ Basic math instead of quantum physics
→ Common sense instead of complexity

Like watching a street racer smoke a Ferrari.
Not because they had more money.
But because they had less ego.

The tech world hates this story.
Because it exposes their biggest lie:

Money doesn't innovate.
People do.

That's what terrifies the giants.
Not the technology.
Not the efficiency.
Not even the price.

But the proof that their empires are built on ego.

That what they have "known" to be true about language models is showing it's beatable.

Put all the POLITICS aside for a minute...

The fact that CHINA made an LLM...

And unlike OpenAI who isn't Open at all....

It kinda makes them look bad...

For me - I'm excited to see competition...

And sure...

DeepSeek can't answer "Bad China" questions...

But what they have made with the time and money...

It can't be ignored...
