Standing by the sea and looking at the first sunrise of 2022, I could never have imagined what the year would bring.
There is one word that perfectly describes my 2022.
CHANGE.
And in a big way. Although most of them were good ones, it’s still been an adjustment.
Just before a year ends I have the habit of going through it in my mind, writing down my thoughts, getting clarity on the year that’s been. I feel it’s important to process the past year before being truly able to look to the next one.
What needs to be let go of?
What do I want to leave in 2022?
What lessons did I learn?
What do I want to take with me into 2023?
What is my intention for 2023?
What is my word for 2023?
Every day is a fresh start, but to me there has always been a certain magnitude of a fresh new year. It’s different. The morning of January first is different.
If you feel called to take a moment to process the year that’s been, grab a notebook and a pen. Answer these prompts or free write. Whatever feels good to you.
Let go.
Release.
And start anew.

Yoga for a Happy Gut ✨🙏💞
There are a lot of things that affect the health of your gut. For example, your diet, taking the time and slowing down to eat, chewing your food properly, too much worrying and brooding as well as your perception of stress and urgency.
Yoga helps with gut issues by calming you down and focusing on the present moment as well as your breathing and in particular extending your exhalation. Yoga massages the internal organs and helps the body to remove toxins which is essential for better digestion and a healthy gut. Gentle poses – especially twists – assist digestion and the gut.
In this 60-minute practice, we focus on gentle poses that assist the gut.

Hey you ☺️ Thank you for being here! I know I haven’t been around much lately and I want to tell you why.
Earlier this year my role at my day job changed in a big way AND I got a puppy. Both of these things happened in the same week 😬😬 Even though they were both really good changes, they had me feeling stressed and overwhelmed pretty much all the time 🥺
Adjusting to these new roles and the responsibilities they bring, left me quite drained and I haven’t had the energy for pretty much anything else. Not even to properly take care of myself. I was making sure I did my job well, made sure the puppy was happy and healthy, but then I didn’t have any energy left to check in with myself to see if I was happy and healthy.
Knowing what to do and how to take care of yourself is one thing. Implementing them is another - especially when you feel completely drained. Epic amounts of empathy and compassion for myself is what got me through. And the gentle reminder that I am doing the best I can today ❤️
Now I’m a few months into this new life of a new job title and being a dog mama 😊and I have developed a new routine, a new everyday life. But during all of this I’ve also been tossing and turning about what to do with my business which has sadly been neglected lately 💔
I even considered closing the whole business down, but as someone who for many years struggled with a lack of self-worth on a deep subconscious level, that didn’t feel like the right option. My passion is to help anyone who feels less than and unworthy of everything amazing this life has to offer, to see themselves with new loving eyes. To discover the thought patterns that have kept them feeling unworthy and unloved ❤️
And then recently something amazing happened. Something just clicked in me and I got this spark of intuitive inspiration! ✨🤩 I’m not sure yet where this spark will take me, my coaching, and my business. But something new is coming and it feels good 🥰

“Self-care is the act of learning
to identify and care for your physical and emotional wants and needs, especially those that were denied in childhood.”
I was reading the book How to Do the Work by Dr Nicole LePera recently and came across this sentence.
And I can’t get it out of my head.
Being truly honest with ourselves about what our physical and emotional wants and needs are is only the first part of the equation. And it might actually not be the tricky part here.
The tricky part is staying true to those wants and needs.
How much are we willing and able to prioritize them in our everyday lives?
What are some of the bigger physical and emotional wants and needs?
What are the smaller ones?
For me, an act of self-care that fills my emotional need is starting my day slowly. That’s not always possible of course but when it is I do my best to stay truly present in the moment.
Another one that fills my physical want/need (I can’t quite decide which one it is 😄), is to start my day with a glass of warm lemon water. It feels soooo refreshing after a night’s sleep 🍋💦

As cliché as it sounds, every morning truly is a new start. A new opportunity to start fresh.
Every morning invites us to choose again. To choose what we want to focus on.
Even if it feels like there is just one thing going right and a 100 things going wrong, focusing on that one good thing will help us figure out the solutions to the 100 things.
Forcing things to be different doesn’t get us anywhere. It only creates dis-ease.
And from a state of dis-ease it’s very difficult to get connected to our true self, our self-worth, our happiness.

If someone had asked me 10 years ago what my relationship with myself was like, I wouldn’t have understood what they meant.
Relationships felt external to me. It never even occurred to me to turn my attention inwards. But that’s exactly what needed to happen in order for me to understand, take care of, and love myself better than I ever had.
Here are a few things you can do to start deepening your relationship with yourself:
💛 Getting enough sleep.
💛 Setting boundaries.
💛 Acknowledging and allowing all of your feelings without running away from them, hiding or numbing them.
💛 Breathing. And I mean those deep belly breaths ☺️
💛 Being honest with yourself.
💛 Moving your body in a way that feels good.
💛 Forgiving yourself.
💛Letting go of resentment.
💛 Becoming aware of your internal limiting beliefs.
💛 Accepting what is. It may not be ideal, but it is what it is.
💛 Accepting what never was.
💛 Letting go of the idea of all the things you “should” have accomplished in your life by now.
💛 Being kind and compassionate towards yourself.
💛 Nourishing your body in a way that leaves you energized.
💛 Valuing yourself.
And from time to time giving yourself a loving hug 🤗🤗☺️❤️

No one else can give it to you.
It might feel like your self-worth is attached to external things - your partner, your job, your bank account.
I want to remind you that it’s not.
If your partner breaks up with you, you are still worthy.
If you lose your job, you are still worthy.
If you lose all of your money, you are still worthy.
Reading this you might not believe me. In your mind you might be listing dozens of things you feel lacks from your life. And how if only you had those things THEN you would feel like you are worthy.
But that is not your authentic self talking. It’s your ego.
Your ego’s number one objective is to be right. And the thing it wants to be right about is it’s own inadequacy.
I’ll repeat that:
Your ego’s number one objective is to be right. And the thing it wants to be right about is it’s own inadequacy.
Therefore take your focus away from the ego and turn it to your heart and your intuition 💞🙏

There is no such thing as a happiness checklist.
No. Such. Thing.
We can’t just make a list and only expect to be happy once we have those things in our lives.
Happiness is found in the present moment and not in our future.
So what we need to do is ask ourselves what is actually the internal need behind the things we think will bring us happiness.
What are your fundamental internal needs that you are currently expecting from your external circumstances?
