Meet the Instructor: Jari Ylitalo

Today we introduce another instructor of the Facilitating Change course.

Jari Ylitalo is a University Lecturer (D.Sc.) at Aalto University and currently serves as Head of Major in Organizational Design & Leadership as well as Vice Head of Department (Education).

He is an educator focusing on leadership, self-management, and teamwork, with over 25 years of experience in leadership and organizational development.

He has contributed to leadership development in many roles, including internal change agent, external process consultant, leadership coach, and academic scholar.

In the Facilitating Change - Aalto University Online Course, Jari brings deep practical insight into how leadership and collaboration can support meaningful organizational transformation.

Meet the Instructor: Risto Sarvas

Today we’d like to introduce one of the instructors of the Facilitating Change course — Risto Sarvas.

Risto Sarvas is a Professor of Practice at Aalto University and the former Head of the Information Networks program.

He is also a co-founder of Futurice’s culture advisory business and the creator of the Lean Service Creation methodology. With extensive experience coaching students, entrepreneurs, and organisations, Risto has worked closely with Finnish companies on leadership and cultural transformation.

In addition to his professional work, Risto is also an accomplished author focusing on design, change, and organisational culture.

In the Facilitating Change course, Risto brings together academic insight and real-world experience to help participants better understand how change happens in organisations and society.
