Jigjiga University Institute of Technology , in close collaboration with the Somali Regional Education Bureau, has officially launched an essential Digital Literacy Training Program for Grade 12 students preparing for this year’s National University Entrance Examinations.

The training is being delivered by experts from the Institute of Technology and the University Laboratories Directorate, following the recent education cooperation agreement aimed at bridging digital gaps and ensuring equitable access to exam preparedness tools.

This program is more than a technical skill transfer—it is a strategic intervention designed to empower students with the confidence and capacity to navigate the digital exam environment effectively. By equipping students from across the region with hands-on digital experience,.

Jigjiga University held an event titled "Performance Indicators and Reform Initiatives for Revitalizing Ethiopian Higher Education," bringing together deans and directors to discuss strategies for improving higher education.
Dr. Beshir Abdulahi, President of Jigjiga University, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the university’s role in regional development and aligning education with national goals. Discussions focused on performance indicators and reform initiatives to enhance academic programs.
Among the participants was Hassan Ahmed, Scientific Director of JJIT, contributing to the dialogue on innovation and educational reform.
