Mentor Learning Centre, serving as the training wing of Mentor Knowledge Solutions, aims at providing several advanced seminars in the summer of 2017 under a pilot Youth Training Venture. These seminars are targeted towards and curated specifically for young adults in various demographics. The main objective of our training venture is to offer the facilities and knowledge-base for youth to develop skills needed in higher education and their professional careers. Interdisciplinary skills are a priority in curating the subject matter for the training venture. In this vastly inter-dependent working world, virtually every profession requires the skills necessary to interpret, synthesize and produce information that crosses multiple disciplines. We aim to foster educated observation and perception, critical understanding, and quality output generation. Our dominant educational philosophy is practical learning, and all participant youth will undergo a hands-on process throughout our learning sessions.
Currently, we are offering two independent packages:
- Academic Investigation and Productivity (Scheduled to start on June 19, 2017)
- Information Technology Literacy (Available on demand, start-date TBA).
Mentor Knowledge Solutions has comprehensively inquired into the need for knowledge services to students at that critical transition from secondary to higher education, and higher education to workforce. Our aim is to fill that skill and information gap and contribute to an organically functioning academic/professional community. The above-mentioned seminars ensure that our students acquire the ability to comfortably work with concepts in research methods, report writing and knowledge sharing, and are adept in using technological tools.
