Italy PhD Scholarship Opportunities.
It is good news that Italy has officially announced full scholarship opportunities in various universities with easy to meet requirements. It is known as the 42nd round italy PhD scholarship. Give it a try. Hereunder are the steps. You are required to apply on two portals.
To submit applications for the 42nd Round (Cycle) PhD slots in Italy, you will use a mix of nationwide single-sign-on systems, platform hosts, and independent university enrollment networks.
1. The Universal National Portals
Every single international applicant must use these government platforms to process enrollment verification and visa documentation:
A. The National Academic Directory: You will track university paths, verify academic legalities, and formally lodge mandatory pre-visa enrollment submissions using the central Universitaly Portal. https://www.universitaly.it/
B. Government-Funded Research Grants: If you want the specialized Ministry of Foreign Affairs scholarships alongside your university application, submit profiles directly through the official Study in Italy Portal.

2. The PICA Cineca System (Most Common Platform)
The absolute majority of Italian public universities host their official PhD applications on a shared database system managed by Cineca called PICA. Instead of searching independent websites, you will manage your portfolio, upload research papers, and trigger automatic reference letter requests to your professors by setting up an account on the core Cineca PICA System Dashboard.
A. university of Turin: Check individual specifications and upload matching dossiers directly through the UniTo Doctoral PICA Platform.
B. University of Ferrara: Complete formal registration steps and upload structured scientific templates on the UniFe IUSS PICA Portal.
C. Other universities. You can search by their respective names for both national and regional universities.
