🚀 Building Career Pathways for Young Professionals in Land Governance!

The Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa -NELGA and Tunisia workshop in Tunis is fostering collaboration between higher education institutions, industry experts, and policymakers. This dynamic event is all about finding concrete ways to integrate young land governance graduates into the workforce and equipping them with the skills they need to thrive.

The first session featured a rich exchange of best practices from Morocco and Cameroon, shedding light on effective approaches to youth employment in the land sector. The final discussions are focused on practical solutions to ensure that educational programs are better aligned with real-world demands. Participants are exploring recommendations from a recent study, identifying critical skills gaps, and proposing new course designs to help young professionals seamlessly transition from academia to the job market.

NELGA & GIZ Host Multistakeholder Dialogue on Labour Market for Graduates in the Field of Land Governance in Tunisia

The Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa -NELGA with support from , is bringing together key stakeholders in Tunis for a two-day workshop aimed at better integrating young land graduates into the workforce.

During the workshop, we explore practical solutions to improve employability, ensuring that education and skills development align with the needs of the land governance sector.

Representatives from higher education institutions, businesses, policymakers, and other key players collaborate to create pathways for youth to successfully enter the labour market.

With land saturation and limited access affecting local communities, and brings together local leaders, farmers, academics, and experts to find solutions that ensure equitable, sustainable land access in Saint-Louis, Senegal.

Key discussions center on addressing population growth, intensive agriculture, and land acquisition by large investors, factors that are reshaping access to land for communities in Ross Béthio.

We are exploring solutions to improve transparency in land allocation, strengthen legal frameworks, and promote equitable access to land.
