At EIC, students do not need to be fluent in English before joining our school.
We welcome children from a wide range of linguistic backgrounds and provide strong support through our English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme, ensuring every student can access learning with confidence from day one.
Through daily immersion in a supportive and inclusive environment, students quickly develop their English skills while continuing to feel fully integrated in school life.
We believe language should never be a barrier to opportunity, only a bridge to it.

Year 3 had enormous fun as part of their introduction to mummification in Ancient Egypt! Working in teams, the children wrapped each other in toilet roll “bandages”, quickly discovering that becoming a successful mummy was not as easy as it looked. They had to demonstrate teamwork, cooperation and problem-solving skills as they worked out the correct tension and angles for the paper rolls. Too tight and the paper ripped, too loose and it unravelled completely! Adjusting the direction of the bandages to cover different parts of the body proved especially challenging, but the children showed fantastic perseverance throughout. Of course, the best part came at the end, when everyone enjoyed dramatically bursting out of their bandages!

Today, Year 5 visited the Museo Casa Natal de Picasso. It is the original building where Pablo Picasso spent part of his childhood, and is now a Cultural Heritage site. The museum showcases aspects of his life through images, as well as some of his earliest drawings and paintings by both his father and Picasso himself.
We then went on to view the temporary exhibition Ni Musas Ni Modelos, which featured artwork by various female artists. It was a very cultural and artistic day out!
Recently, we were delighted to host our EIC Primary Sports Day, a celebration of energy, enthusiasm and team spirit.
Our pupils demonstrated resilience, determination and excellent sportsmanship throughout, embracing both competition and collaboration with confidence and positivity. Events such as these play an important role in supporting physical development whilst also strengthening friendships and a shared sense of community.
We are incredibly proud of every child who took part and so positively represented the spirit of EIC Primary!
