Hey everyone,

My name is Jessika and I am a Certified Personal trainer and Nutritionist on the coast since 5 years. I have a Holistic approach to health and believe it’s so much more than just a diet plan and going to the gym.

“Jessika’s Power Hour Bootcamp” was invented in 2020 after lockdown in Marbella and became a huge success. The results my clients got was life changing.

To give you a bit of background, the Bootcamp is a full bodyweight training. We work as a team and always encourage each other. I think training should be fun therefore it is my top priority to make sure you all have fun! My goal is an effective and a varied workout that fits ALL LEVELS that gives you results both mentally and physically.

Why is outdoor group training a good option for activity? ☀️💦

1. Motivation! Getting that motivation boost by people alongside you, the instructor and the environment.
2. Accountability! Group training holds you accountable for showing up and giving 100% effort into your workout.
3. Energy! Training outdoors by the sea and getting fresh air will improve your overall health and sleep.
4. Fun! A social and fun environment always makes the training easier and you may even make new friends.

Practicing to stay comfortable in the uncomfortable brings you power of your own body, soul & mind.

You may think that swimming in cold water is one of the last things you'd dream of doing. Well I know I did for 6 weeks ago when I started with ice baths. Completely out of my comfort zone I started with just putting my hands into the ice bath & progressively into swimming in the sea and enjoying it. What really helped me was the breathing, controlling my breathing in a way so I didn't panic. The secret to acclimatising cold water is just to do it regularly. There's so many health benefits attached to it & I would like to share some of them with you guys. ⬇️

1. BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM - Cold water can kick-start the immune system, helping to produce more white blood cells and antioxidants because the body is forced to react to changing conditions which are proven to boost your immune system and reduce various illnesses.

2. IMPROVES RECOVERY - When we exercise we produce certain by-products like lactate. When these by-products accumulate they significantly impact the contractile function on the muscle tissue, dramatically decreasing performance.
Cold water swimming is a great way to eliminate these by-products therfore increasing performance and also increasing recovery.

3. NATURAL HIGH - Endorphins are our body's little pleasure drugs that get released when we do certain activities and this causes a feeling of wellbeing. Cold water swimming is one of them and it increases the release of dopamine and serotonin hormones that help reduce depression and anxiety and also improves our sleep.

4. REDUCES STRESS - Cold water swimming places stress on the body both physically and mentally which we adapt to over time and practice will make us calmer. With reduced stress comes an improved quality of life!

5. IMPROVES OUR CIRCULATION - Cold water enables our veins, arteries, and capillaries to flush themselves due to the sudden change in temperature therefore boosting our circulation. When used regularly, cold water can make our circulatory system more efficient.

Hello 2021.

2020 was a different year but still good in many ways. It taught me alot but especially how precious life can be and how we cannot control anything that's happening around us. We can only control one thing, how we handle it. We can control our thinking, our reactions and our mind. We can try to control how we look at our lives, ourselves and how we look at the world. We can try to control how we view our hardships and we can try to hold onto the good, positive things and let go of the things that makes us feel bad.

We should focus our time and energy on the parts of our lives that we can change and accept the ones that we cannot. Simple as that. There are many things in our lives we can change if we are not satisfied with them. For example, if we are not happy with our body, we can change that. If we hate our job, we can change that. If we are not happy being in a certain relationship, we can change that, if we want to have less friends, we can change that. The choice is ours.

This year let's try to challenge ourselves how to control the way we respond to what's happening around us. That's where we will find our power.

Sometimes we just need to take a deep breath and let go a little and just let life happen to us.

I look forward to a new chapter. Let 2021 be a year where we will grow as individuals and become stronger both mentally and physically, follow our dreams and learn how to let go of the things we can't control to live a happy and healthy life.

This is Abla and Saad! This POWER couple contacted me searching for a PT during their holiday break in Marbella. We did in total 6 sessions at the gym focusing on strength training and techniques. Then they also joined my bootcamps at the beach 4 times so in total they managed to smash 10 workout sessions during their holiday. All credit to them!!! It's been an absolute pleasure coaching them both and following their progress. Thank you for your confidence in me!
