We loved performing at the Monastery de San Blas in Lerma. It's not a huge church, but it has a lot of character, and a wonderful bunch of sisters who live there. The acoustics are pretty live, but that works really well for some pieces. Here was our performance of "Salvation is Created" in that venue.

As I posted pictures from our trip, I always tried to stay focused on the travelers, but some of you might wonder, "What exactly did you see over there?" Well, with this in mind, I just uploaded a very large number of pictures in several albums featuring some of the "stuff" we saw in each city. Please enjoy! And if any of the travelers have pictures to share, please feel free.

Well, we all made it back safe and sound. And after a day to rest and recover, I want to thank some folks. First, I want to thank all of the SMSU travelers for coming with me on this adventure. This was my third time traveling to Spain. I absolutely love the country, the culture, the architecture, and the relaxed atmosphere. Thank you for letting me share that with you.

I want to thank our guide, and the man who made most of the arrangements for our trip, Vicente. Oros Travel and Tours does a great job putting everything together from meals, to tour guides, to finding performing venues that are just right for the ensemble. Thank you for all you did to make this a great trip.

Next, I want to thank, Denise, Maureen, Susanna, and everyone else at Concept Tours for coordinating our plans with Vicente. They did a great job of keeping track of everything and reminding me when different items were due.

Finally, thanks to everyone who supported our trip. It's always nice to know that there are people who are looking out for all of us in these efforts. Thanks for following our page and supporting our travelers.

There's still a little more to do on this page, so be sure to keep checking back with us.

Salamance is home to one of the oldest universities in the world. They will be celebrating 800 years in 2018. I was worth a visit to see how they make it work.

Lerma is a charming village outside of Burgos. It has a convent of some of the nicest nuns you'll ever meet. They were our gracious hosts for our final concert.

Aranda de Duero was also having a festival during our visit, but still lots of great things to see and experience. Our second concert was well attended and sounded great in that beautiful, old church.
