Muchos estudiantes confunden estos dos verbos, pero en español no significan lo mismo, y en inglés se traducen de formas diferentes (to fill, to fill out, to fill in, to refill, to stuff).

👉 A MÁS TARDAR (momento límite, “at the latest”)

Son estructuras parecidas, pero con matices distintos que marcan la diferencia cuando hablas español con naturalidad. 🌟

👉 TARDAR EN = to take time to do something

📚 ¿Sabías que “tardar” y “tardar en” no significan lo mismo?
👉 Tardar expresa duración, sin mencionar la acción.
👉 Tardar en expresa el tiempo necesario para hacer algo.

✅ Tardé mucho. → It took me a long time.
✅ Tardé dos horas en llegar. → It took me two hours to arrive.

💡 Recuerda:
TARDAR = tiempo
TARDAR EN = tiempo + acción

¿Sabías la diferencia entre “ahogarse” y “desahogarse”? 🫣☕
💧 Ahogarse = sentirse agobiado, como si no pudieras más.
☀️ Desahogarse = liberar lo que llevas dentro, hablar y sentirte mejor.

👉 ¿Con quién te desahogas tú cuando lo necesitas? Cuéntamelo en comentarios 💬

¿Sabías que DEJAR y DEJAR DE no significan lo mismo? 🤯
👉 DEJAR = permitir.
👉 DEJAR DE = parar o interrumpir una acción.

Ejemplo:
✔️ Mi jefe no me deja salir antes de las 5.
✔️ Dejé de tomar café por las noches.

MENOS MAL ✨
En español usamos esta expresión cuando sentimos alivio porque algo podía ser negativo, pero al final no lo fue.
Ejemplos:
👉 Menos mal que trajiste paraguas.
👉 Menos mal, ya llegó.

In Spanish we use menos mal to express relief when something could have been negative, but in the end it wasn’t.
Examples:

En español usamos la expresión “Me da apuro” para decir que algo nos incomoda o nos da un poco de vergüenza.
No es tan fuerte como “me da vergüenza”, pero sí expresa timidez o reparo.

En español decimos que una persona es friolera cuando siempre tiene frío, incluso cuando los demás no.

👉 Ejemplo: María es muy friolera, siempre lleva una chaqueta aunque haga calor.
👉 Example: María is very sensitive to the cold; she always wears a jacket even if it’s warm.
