✨What a reTREAT ✨

💫 I can’t believe it’s been one month since our Spanish Culture and Language Immersion Retreat. 🙏

It did everything that retreats are supposed to and more. 🙏☀️

This retreat provides so many opportunities for learning and connection and it was an absolute pleasure to spend 6 days with these wonderful humans🥰 And teaching them was an absolute delight. 🙌❤️

Following our flamenco dance class again we had the wonderful and the talented Borja providing an evening of music. There’s something about dancing outside that’s a different kind of joy. 💃🏼 🕺🏽

I came back straight into exam season which Is a different kind of joy, 67 speaking exams later. 🙃 🤩

I love collaboration so as an extra dynamic surprise this year, I invited to team teach for a couple of sessions which was just amazing. Muchísimas gracias Ivana 🙏😘

I’ll be sharing some of their wonderful feedback soon but hope you enjoy these photos in the meantime.

☀️ If you’re interested in learning Spanish as a beginner I’m running a retreat for you this April 10th- 15th and there are a few spots left! It’s in a stunning villa just on the outskirts of Xaló. 😍

I’ve been teaching Spanish from Beginner to Advanced level for 21 years and wanted to share my love of the Spanish language and culture so you can have more enriching experiences, particularly if you’d love to integrate more into Spanish life but the language barrier is proving a struggle!

🌍 It’s taken a week to get over it..

🎶 Though that’s mainly the dancing to any song with a foreign word in it- the DJ understood the assignment. 💃🏼😂👌

It was an honour to speak last week at the Language World Conference on our experiences with Comprehensible Input alongside my colleague, Tom. We had 30 minutes, just after we had heard from Liverpool Arabic Teacher’s Council and how they’re getting their teenagers to perform Cinderella- in Arabic- in full costume!! 🙌😍

It went magically alongside our slot which included storytelling and other ways to motivate and engage students to lead to proficiency through those strategies we’d learnt from experts such as and
