Alicante is well reputed for their "arroces". A few days ago I had the chance to enjoy this fabulous "arros del senyoret". We use the Valencian language term which means literally "Gentleman's rice". All the shellfish is served fully shelled and peeled, and the fish is boneless.

Legend says it earned its name because it was custom-made for "young gentlemen" (senyorets) or picky guests who wanted to enjoy their seafood paella using only a fork—without peeling a single shrimp by hand.

I'm spending my last few free days before getting back to work fully next week to finalise all the arrangements to resume my Spanish lessons in September.

If you are interested in receiving some information, please comment below INFORMATION and I'll reach out. In addition, when we start talking I'll send you a free PDF guide on restaurant language.

A few days ago I was in Rojales, a beautiful village in la Vega Baja del Segura, an area in the south of Alicante province, where a lot of students of mine live. I attended a fantastic flamenco poetry (Joaquín López Bustamante - Comunicación) and guitar concert (Fraskito) in a beautiful venue called Las Cuevas del Rodeo.

This month I'm enjoying my holiday but also talking to those students who might be interested in joining my Spanish lessons in September. If you are, comment INTERESTED below and I'll reach out. In addition when we start speaking I will send you a free restaurant language guide as a thank you.

Living in Elche means Santa Pola is just 16 kilometers away, which is great. A few days ago I was there having some tapas by the sea with a friend.

During August I take a break from teaching Spanish lessons, but I'm preparing all the material to resume in September.

Comment LESSONS below if you are interested and I'll write to you. When we talk, I'll also give you a free PDF guide on bar and restaurant language as a thank you!

Did you once know the grammar and vocabulary of Spanish A1 level but you forgot? I've created this guide to help you review that knowledge. You can also use it if it's your first time facing this level.
How can you get it? Join my Facebook group: Learn Spanish with Joaquín Gerardo: Student Club: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1BqstrFhM1/ And below my post comment REPASO. I'll reach out.

The summer is the ideal time for so many things: holidays, travelling, relaxing, love... but as the song says, the 'living is easy', so it's also the perfect moment for me to get everything ready to resume our lessons in September. If you'd like me to contact you towards the end of August to get started, please comment 'interested' below and I'll do so.

I’m still teaching my Spanish classes throughout July while getting everything ready for the start of the new term in September. Still, I managed to take a couple of days off to travel from my home town, Elche, to visit a childhood friend who lives in Dúrcal, a village about 30 kilometers from Granada. It’s located in the beautiful Lecrín Valley. This photo was taken at the stunning Béznar Reservoir.

Anyway, getting back to what I started saying: if you’d like me to get in touch in late August to give you information about schedules and the like, just comment 'Clases' below.
