Pay attention to the little voices.

If we're connected, you'll likely know that I'm an ocean kind of guy.

Jules and I live 90 seconds from the Atlantic, and if you're up with the larks during the week, you'll catch me surfing or swimming off our local beach.

But right now, our usually sleepy coastal hometown is swamped with tourists from Madrid. And I mean wall-to-wall.

Now, if you're a course creator, you know how hard it is to get anything done when you're surrounded by distractions.

And I need to finish my new course.

Except the tourists weren't really the problem. They were just the excuse I finally listened to.

So this year the little voices have been calling.

And here we are for 2 weeks at a finca in the campo, in the absolute middle of nowhere.

Only us and 6 dogs, on an estate where we won't see another soul until we close the gate behind us on the way out.

I'm originally a country boy. I was brought up in Yorkshire, around animals, rivers and rolling dales.

Then the surfing bug caught me at 15, and I left the land behind for the sea.

The UK, Jersey, France, Australia. Everywhere I ended up, I was less than 15 minutes from the beach.

But here we are today, full circle. Me back in the campo.

And you know what? It feels brilliant.

I'm more relaxed than I have been in months, and the course is coming along nicely (and in a format that nobody will have ever seen before).

Plus, what's not to like?

Getting up at 7 am and hitting the hills with the dogs before the summer furnace kicks in. Total peace and quiet, and space to listen to what matters.

Maybe I should have done it sooner.

Those voices were telling me I needed a change of environment, but I'd been ignoring them.

Are you listening to yours?

PS: That furry fella is a rescue dog, and he's bigger than me. So when he talks, I pay attention.

I reviewed three Kajabi systems this week.

Three different coaches. Three different businesses. One thing in common.

Every single one of them was a maze.

Modules nobody could find. Resources nobody had opened. Onboarding sequences so long the client had probably quit before they reached the end.

These aren't bad coaches. They're excellent coaches who made the same mistake most coaches make.

They kept adding. Because adding feels like value.

It isn't.

Overwhelm is the quietest churn driver in online coaching. Not price, not competition. Overwhelm. And most of the time it's completely fixable without rebuilding anything from scratch.

I've written a full post on this, including four tests you can run on your own system today to find out whether it's the problem.
If you're seeing drop-off you can't explain, start here.

Trying to explain my definition of success over lunch today…

It's really very simple.

A 3-day road trip in our dusty old Land Rover that's now turned into 8 days - and still counting.

No place to be, no boss to report to. Just going where the road takes us.

The town we've landed in has probably as many millionaires as Monaco. They compare Rolexes, cars, villas and portfolios, then look over and ask us, "So what do you do?"

This. We do this.

That's as successful as it gets for Jules and me.

Have a great weekend, folks.

Don't suppose anyone is in Seville on Friday?

If so, let's grab a coffee (or lunch) and talk about opportunities, creating lives we don't need holidays from, and other audacious things.

I'll be the bloke in the blue hat, loud shirt and season ticket for Bodeguita Casablanca...
