Snippets of Lanzarote ✨🏝️🌋
This trip was about more than just seeing a new island.
It was about remembering that I don’t have to carry everything myself.
I’m often the planner, researcher and organizer when it comes to trips especially.
Because frankly, I’m really good at it!
I’m the one with 20 saved locations and three backup plans.
However, this time I felt the need to do something different.
I told Miloš, “You plan it.”
I only picked one winery I didn’t want to miss.
And Miloš planned our trip beautifully.
He picked restaurants, spots, and beaches that didn’t disappoint! 🥰
On this trip, I was reminded of something I teach many of my clients:
You don’t always need to have control.
It’s okay to say to the people you love, “Can you take care of this?”
What I often see women struggling with is not a lack of time, but saying yes to too many things and carrying too much on their own.
We become so used to being the planner, the organizer, the one who remembers everything, that receiving support can feel uncomfortable.
You don’t need more control.
You need to allow yourself to receive the support, help, or rest you need.
Sometimes the most nourishing thing you can do is let someone else lead.
To trust that things can still work out beautifully, even when you’re not the one managing every little detail.
And sometimes, that trust gives you exactly what you needed all along.
This trip certainly did. 🤍
