كثيرون يظنون أن الثقة بالنفس وحدها تكفي، لكن الفرق الحقيقي بين من يتقدم ومن يتوقف ليس في الذكاء ولا في الموارد. الشخص الذي يعتقد أنه يعرف كل شيء، لا يترك مساحة لأن يتعلم شيئًا. والتواضع لا يعني الاستسلام، بل يعني أنك لا تزال طالبًا، أنك تقبل أن الحياة أوسع من تصوراتك. الأكثر نجاحًا من رأيتهم كانوا دائمًا قابلين للتعلم، بينما أكثر الناس ركودًا يحملون يقينًا لا يستحق.
الغرور لا يُفقرك ماليًا فقط، بل يُفقرك من كل نوع من النمو. الصالة تُعلّمك، والمدرسة تُعلّمك، والتجارة تُعلّمك، وكل هذه الدروس تصل فقط إلى من يفتح لها بابًا. النجاح ليس وجهةً تصل إليها، بل عملية نموٍّ لا تنتهي، وهي تبدأ دائمًا باعتراف بسيط: أنك لا تعرف كل شيء بعد.
