🚀 Making & Learning for Everyone! ♿💡
At Scratch Tactile, we believe learning should always be inclusive! When Elizabeth, a 6-year-old blind student, joined Leslie Johnson & Erica Simone New York school, they used 3D printing to create tactile learning tools. 🙌
Fifth graders mentored first graders, designing and printing Braille blocks, language aids, and more—learning empathy, creativity, and inclusion along the way! 💙✨

🌟 Use Your Body to Tell a Story with Scratch Tactile! 🌟
Hello teachers and parents! Today, we introduce Activity 4 from our Scratch series: Using Your Body to Represent a Story!
1️⃣ Choose a story you love and act out a character from it. 🎭
2️⃣ Create a grid on the floor using tape or tiles. 🔲
3️⃣ Instead of programming a character on the board, program a classmate! 💡
4️⃣ Get creative – what other ideas can you think of?
5️⃣ One idea: create a giant “board game” where the pieces are people, or have the person interact with classroom objects! 🎯
This activity is a fantastic way to combine physical movement, storytelling, and programming. Have fun bringing stories to life with Scratch Tactile!

🌟 Let’s Draw with Loops using Tactile Jr! 🌟
Hello teachers and parents! Today, we bring you Activity 3.3 from our Tactile Jr series: Drawing with Loops!
1️⃣ Place a marker in a central square and create a program with arrows to draw a simple geometric shape or pattern. 2️⃣ Try adding loop blocks to repeat all or part of the program and see what happens! 🎨 3️⃣ Ask your classmates to draw your program and try changing the color with each repetition. 🖍️ 4️⃣ What have you been able to create using loops? Amazing! 5️⃣ Use blank blocks to invent a function, like drawing something in a specific square.
Can you think of variations for this activity? Try them out with your classmates!
📝 Drawing with loops is a fantastic way to learn programming and creativity with Tactile Jr. Have fun and explore new possibilities!
