As one of the distinguished speakers, I am very much looking forward to meeting all of you at the 7th MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum on 14–16 April 2026. The afternoon tea is a British tradition, introduced around 1840's.

It is now adapted as part of a luxurious lifestyle among the members of the upper echelons of society, especially the ladies.

Today, our students were able to indulge in this experience. With the pianist serenading us all in the background, we talked about the beauty of life and the great things coming our way.

This Sunday, November 23, 2025, and students will be attending a class with a certified Sommelier.

Attending this class provides comprehensive education on wine regions, history, grape varieties, and the wine industry. It develops tasting skills essential for accurately describing and evaluating wines.

It teaches proper wine service techniques such as pouring, serving temperatures, and decanting, equipping participants with expert knowledge to enhance wine appreciation and professional service.

Meet our Masterclass Speaker, Dr. Carmen Geha.

Dr. Geha is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Soltara Consulting. She is a Lebanese scholar-activist, social entrepreneur, and published author with 15 years of experience in higher education, interdisciplinary research, and multi-country program leadership. Her expertise spans curriculum design, teaching, training, and qualitative research across the Arab MENA region.

Her work centers on human resource policies, women’s political and economic participation, and civil society support. She has published in leading journals including Journal of Refugee Studies, Women, Politics & Policy, Middle East Law and Governance, and Social Movement Studies, and contributes regularly to prominent media outlets, making her research accessible to broader audiences.

Carmen holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews. She was a tenured Associate Professor of Public Administration and Leadership at the American University of Beirut and has held prestigious fellowships, including a Fulbright at Harvard University and the Maria Zambrano Fellowship for International Talent at Pompeu Fabra University. She has also taught on development, gender, and security at the Open University of Catalunya and the Barcelona Institute for International Studies (IBEI).

In addition to her academic track, Carmen is an international consultant to businesses, UN agencies, and government institutions, specializing in organizational and leadership development.

Our students will surely learn from someone who has a deep understanding of guiding organizations and individuals through uncertainty, equips them with tools that go far beyond theory—they will gain applicable wisdom from real-world experience.
