🌹📚 Celebrating stories, tradition, and imagination

Today at St George Barcelona, we brought together St Jordi and World Book Day, a celebration filled with books, roses, and a love for reading.

📖✨ Our students brought characters to life in today’s Book Day parade, creativity, imagination, and a lot of excitement all in one place. Seeing their enthusiasm for books and storytelling is what makes days like this so special.

From shared stories to meaningful moments across the school, it was a beautiful reminder of how literature connects and inspires our community.

🌍 Celebrating Earth Day at St George Barcelona

We are so fortunate to be surrounded by nature and green spaces that enrich everyday life at our school.

Through outdoor learning, sustainability initiatives and the work of our Eco Ambassadors, we continue to nurture a strong sense of environmental responsibility within our community.

Today’s visitor gave us a smile… a bright green parrot spotted on campus! 🦜
It got us thinking… why did the parrot fly across the playground? Because it wanted to talk to everyone, of course! 😉

Moments like these remind us of our connection to nature and our responsibility to care for it.

📚 Teacher Spotlight: Miss Buchan – English Department

What does teaching English mean beyond the classroom?

For Miss Buchan, it’s about helping students question the world around them and explore ideas through literature. By studying texts from different cultures and time periods, students learn to connect the past with the present and reflect on their role in society.

While studying To Kill a Mockingbird, a powerful classroom moment emerged when a student connected Atticus Finch’s words about perspective to tolerance and empathy towards people who are different from ourselves. Moments like these show the true power of literature.

Miss Buchan hopes every student leaves her classroom with one important lesson:
✨ to find their voice and use it to make a difference in the world.
