𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟱𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗨𝗖𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶
✨ A great start to three days of dialogue and collaboration around lifelong learning, diversity, equity and inclusion hosted at Università degli Studi di Cagliari
🎤 The conference opened with inspiring contributions from the host institution and EUCEN leadership, followed by the keynote by 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗼, who highlighted the role of universities as agents of social equity and inclusion through lifelong learning.
🎓💡 Participants then joined parallel sessions exploring how universities can shape society, develop future-ready skills, and design more inclusive learning futures.

A great start to 𝗲𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶!

This morning, representatives from 𝗲𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 across Europe came together to share experiences, exchange ideas, and learn from one another 🤝

The day began with an inspiring workshop on 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, led by Professor emeritus 𝗪𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗸𝗲𝗿. Together, participants explored how universities can create more flexible learning opportunities, strengthen recognition practices, and support learners at every stage of life 🎓📚

We also discussed the findings of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗲𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆 and reflected on how University Lifelong Learning is responding to Europe’s green, digital, and demographic transitions 🌱💻👥

We are delighted to announce the launch of the 𝗘𝗨𝗖𝗘𝗡 𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗟 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, the first-ever awards presented by EUCEN. This special initiative will be celebrated during the EUCEN Annual Conference in Cagliari, taking place from Wednesday 3 June to Friday 5 June.

We are particularly pleased to launch this new initiative in the year that EUCEN celebrates its 35th anniversary. These commemorative awards have been created to recognise the outstanding contributions of long-standing EUCEN members and their dedication to advancing University Lifelong Learning (ULLL) across Europe and beyond.

The inaugural EUCEN ULLL Excellence Awards Ceremony will take place on 5 June at 10:30, bringing the EUCEN community together to honour individuals whose commitment, leadership, and vision have helped shape our network and strengthen the lifelong learning mission of universities over the past 35 years.

We look forward to celebrating this important milestone in Cagliari and recognising the people who have made a lasting impact on EUCEN and the wider University Lifelong Learning community.

FOOD INCLUDES presented at the “Global Connection for Local Change” Conference

The FOOD INCLUDES project was presented by CEBANC during the “Global Connection for Local Change” Conference Outreach Event, organised by Tknika in Vitoria-Gasteiz on 23 April.

As part of the Project Dissemination Day, FOOD INCLUDES was presented alongside other European VET initiatives promoting innovation, cooperation, and international collaboration in vocational education and training.

The event gathered 256 regional and international participants, including representatives from Basque, Spanish, and European VET centres, fostering valuable exchanges on project results, best practices, and future training approaches.

Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of Genoa, Mauro Palumbo has dedicated his academic and professional career to social inequalities, lifelong learning, youth conditions, evaluation, and the transition from education to work. With extensive experience in European projects and institutional collaboration, he has significantly contributed to the development of lifelong learning policies and practices in Italy and across Europe.
As founder and former President of both the Italian Evaluation Society (AIV) and the Italian Network of LLL Universities (RUIAP), his work continues to inspire universities as drivers of inclusion and social transformation.
