Today our AS & A Level Photography students stepped into a professional studio environment at Photoutopia in Gràcia 📸✨

Led by the incredible Katherin Wermke, students explored a range of equipment, experimenting with both continuous and flash lighting while creating striking portrait and still life images. Our second-year students came especially prepared—planning outfits, makeup, and props in advance—which made the experience even more valuable for their independent A Level projects.

Last weekend our students completed their Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award practice journey 🌿🥾

Starting in Pals, they hiked 12 km to a farmhouse where they spent the night. Along the way they navigated using maps, supported each other, and worked together as a team. In the evening, they planned and cooked their own dinner — an important part of the adventure.

On day two, the challenge continued with a 17 km hike up to Castell del Montgrí, where they were rewarded with incredible views.

A weekend full of teamwork, leadership, resilience and plenty of fun.
We are incredibly proud of the effort and collaboration shown by everyone involved. 🌄
