☀️ Happy Summer Solstice! ☀️
I've been reflecting a lot lately on the dance between doing and being.
Last week, despite having a very ambitious to-do list, I found myself needing to slow down, spend time alone, write, and simply listen. If I'm honest, there are still moments when a part of me believes that if I'm not being productive, I might somehow fade into the background.
Thankfully, the Universe has become quite skilled at intervening whenever I try to force things. Sometimes gently. Sometimes with what can only be described as a cosmic b@$*h slap. 😄
As I sat with the discomfort, I noticed how easy it is to get pulled into the fear, division, scarcity, and uncertainty that seem so present in our world right now. Yet when I look around at nature—the gardens blooming, the deer moving through the tall grass, the endless creativity of life itself—I am reminded that something else is also true.
Life is always creating.
And perhaps what is needed now isn't more fear, but more imagination.
As Einstein said:
"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world."
What if the artists, dreamers, visionaries, healers, creatives, and mavericks among us are being called to imagine what comes next?
What if our gifts are not optional, but part of the medicine needed for these times?
And as Rumi reminds us:
"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there."
I believe that field still exists.
It's the place where possibility lives.
Where inspiration returns.
Where we remember who we are.
