Last year I became part of the Unfold your Freedom community.

I remember joining the first online teamcalls. Everybody was very positive and focused on growth and mindset.

Compared to my meetings at my job, it was a big contrast.
On top of that, I was at home with a burnout during that time.
But soon after going through the discovery process, reading personal development books, and attending weekly teamcalls, I started to feel a shift in getting more energy, and more positivity, and I started feeling like myself again.

I started to work on becoming a better version of myself.
I created new friendships in the community through online and offline meetings.

I met a big part of the community in Barcelona, where we connected on a deeper level.

💭Think about it: when’s the last time you slowed down to ask yourself what you really want? When’s the last time you intentionally put yourself and your desires first?

You may ignored your deep wishes or innervoice for too long.

For everyone it means something different, but the online business that I found makes it possible to live YOUR definition of freedom.

While I am writing this post, I still work in the same environment, but now with the forecast of leaving an office job in two months. A typical 9-to-5 job and work culture Where it's normal to go from meeting to meeting.

During these couple of years, I have seen a lot of people dealing with burnout, including myself.
Lots of companies are dealing with a lack of employees, and the work pressure gets heavier for the coworkers who are present, and frequently it results in a chain reaction of more burn-outs or people who quit the job.

At some point during my career, I realized that my job was not the environment that gave me energy.
I was daydreaming about an escape from this way of living my life.

Whenever I came back from my travels, I got a coworker saying: your eyes are twinkling, when I was telling her about my latest trip.

One of my motivations for starting an online business was the opportunity that I could be a mentor for others who are daydreaming of an escape from their situation.

I've always wanted to be a mentor for other people and I have a big passion for health, the environment, and living a lifestyle where I can express my creative side more.

A few weeks ago, I resigned from my job because I have found another job that allows me to work remotely and combine it better with my mission.

That moment I told my coworker that I got a new job, and she said your eyes are twinkling.
I knew again that I made the right decision.

If you look back on 2022, did you achieve the goals that you set at the beginning of this year?

Our daily life can get overwhelming, and some days all you can think of is to tune out on the couch in the evening and watch series on netflix.

Before you know it, you are stuck in this cycle, time passes, and you are not living a fulfilling life.

In 2022 I decided this was no longer the path I wanted to follow.

By starting an online business, I get to schedule my hours without the 9 to 5 principle. My life got more meaning for so many reasons. I create a life with more freedom to follow my passions.
I get to live a more meaningful life.

🌿I’m writing this post on a sunny day in December in Tenerife, where it is summer all year long. (Goals)

🌿Chasing a life that gives me the freedom to go to places in climates where I feel my better self.

The things that you are chasing in life might be very different, but I encourage you to make a step today to go live a life in alignment.

That dream was planted in your heart for a reason.

🐚I am Counting the days for a new adventure!!

🏝This time I will explore a new destination on a sunny Island, and I can’t wait. Soon more info!

I will also celebrate my birthday overthere and I literally can not think of a better gift. 🥰
I’m not so much into spending the winter months in the Netherlands. Let’s say I function way better in a warmer climate🙈haha. Who can relate?

These are my essentials as a Digital Nomad:
•I need a laptop
•I need a good Wifi connection
•I prefer to have a place in a hotel/Airbnb/Apartment. Or in a hostel where I can have a private room.

My sleep and my space is essential. I have tons of experience with the hostel life, but I prefer my own space these days.
But i also like the hostel vibes, because you can connect easily with people from all over the world.

•You need to bring your discipline, because you can get easily distracted with the holiday spirit. But with the right mindset, you can do it. And most of my job is automated, which means I can schedule my workhours.

Ultimately I’m aiming towards more Slow Traveling, so that I don’t have to rush when I’m in different places.
