Got the Amtrak from Stamford to Philadelphia yesterday to visit The Barnes Foundation. Arrived on time for the 11;30 Docent-led Highlights Tour - 90 Minutes. Had lunch in the museum restaurant with a glass wall onto the designer garden. Then found an indoor/outdoor tropical inspired meditation area for 20 Minutes. Sauntered back to the galleries to “ see again” in my own time - over 50 Matisse word and 150 Renoirs plus plus plus. The building is very eco-friendly and the Gallery floor are made from re-purposed wood from The Coney Island boardwalk. The Museum closes at 5pm leaving me plenty of time to walk back to the train station for my 6pm train. As we passed through NYC the setting Sun entertained all. 🙏
