In Malta, the breed was mainly attracted to hunting rabbits, which gave its representatives a second name - the Maltese rabbit hounds.
The breed matures for a long time in the exterior plan. If the majority of puppies overcome adolescence by 7 months, then "pharaohs" to become full-fledged handsome men, it takes from a year to one and a half years.
To date, the Pharaoh's dog has transformed into an image pet and is not tested for working qualities. Hunting activities have been replaced with modern animals by sport racing, frisbee and agility.
