I hope all is well.

I am approaching you in relation our ‘6th Arab Lawyers Forum (ALF)’, which will be taking place in Qatar on 20th & 21st February 2024. As you may know, we have been organizing this event for the past five years with the unwavering support of the Arab and international legal and business community.

The Arab Lawyers Forum (ALF, www.arablawyersforum.com) was initiated a few years ago to create a platform which would allow senior lawyers and young ambitious lawyers from across the Arab League States to exchange ideas, discuss the latest developments and most importantly profile the advancement and growth of the Arab legal system.

For the last few years, we took the Forum to an international level. Previously, we have gathered in Morocco, Egypt, Bahrain, Italy and the United Kingdom where a number of speakers as well as leading Arab lawyers met to discuss matters of interest to the legal profession as well as subjects of interest to lawyers in the Middle East and internationally.

On the back of this success, we have decided this year to bring the forum back to the Middle East. With Qatar firmly positioned as a socio-economic destination of choice for both the international and regional communities and having recently delivered a spectacular World Cup, Qatar is the standout location to host the next Arab Lawyers Forum (ALF).

I am especially reaching out to request your support to sponsor the upcoming 6th Arab lawyers Forum. By aligning with the Arab Lawyers Forum, we welcome the Sharm El Sheikh International Arbitration Centre (SHIAC) to contribute to the development and promotion of arbitration practices in the Arab world, to foster a robust legal ecosystem. The full day conference encompasses a variety of topics from AI to sustainability, including a dedicated session on ‘Comparative Approaches to Production in International Arbitration: Common Law vs. Civil Law in the MENA Region’. This collaboration can help bolster Egypt’s position as a key player in the international arbitration landscape, showcasing its commitment to legal excellence and promoting the exchange of ideas within the broader Arab legal community.

From 15 to 20 February 2021, Università degli Studi di Milano and the European Court of Arbitration, in cooperation with the law firms BonelliErede and DLA Piper , organize the first edition of the “Milan Investment Arbitration Week” (MIAW), a series of different events (conferences, round-table debates, legal competitions), held in streaming and related to international investment
law and arbitration.

Renowned Italian and foreign experts from academia, legal profession and arbitral institutions will address from different angles some of the most relevant topics related to the field. In addition, MIAW will include two legal competitions: the second edition of
the Milan Investment Arbitration Pre-Moot and the first edition of the Construction Arbitration Moot, with the participation of
several Universities from all around the world.
