Lesson 6: Know yourself.. Know others! 👤

​بعد ما اتعلمنا إزاي نسلم على الناس، جه الوقت نتكلم عن "نفسنا" وعن "اللي قدامنا". الضمائر هي مفتاح تكوين أول جملة ليك بالعربي.

After learning how to greet people, it's time to talk about "ourselves" and "the person in front of us". Pronouns are the key to forming your first sentence in Arabic.

In the attached image, you will find the most important pronouns you need to start:

​1️⃣ أنا (Ana): أنا / I (للذكر والأنثى)

2️⃣ أنتَ (Anta): أنتَ / You (للمذكر - ركز على الفتحة َ)

3️⃣ أنتِ (Anti): أنتِ / You (للمؤنث - ركز على الكسرة ِ)

4️⃣ هو (Huwa): هو / He

5️⃣ هي (Hiya): هي / She

​💡 سر سريع للمبتدئين | Quick Tip for Beginners:

في العربي، مفيش فعل "يكون" (to be) في المضارع لما نتكلم بالضمائر. يعني عشان تقول "I am a leader"، بتقول بس: "أنا قائد" (Ana Qa'id). سهلة جداً!

In Arabic, there is no "to be" verb in the present tense when using pronouns. So, to say "I am a leader", you just say: "Ana Qa'id" (أنا قائد). So easy!

عندما يقول لك أحدهم "السلام عليكم"، الرد الدائم والمثالي هو وعكس الكلمات: "وعليكم السلام" (Wa alaykum as-salam).
When someone says "As-salamu alaykum", the perfect and constant reply is to reverse the words: "Wa alaykum as-salam".

​هل تساءلت يوماً كيف ننطق الكلمات العربية بدقة؟ السر في "التشكيل" (الحركات القصيرة)!
Ever wondered how we pronounce Arabic words accurately? The secret is in "Tashkeel" (Short Vowels)!
​هذه العلامات الذهبية الصغيرة توضع فوق أو تحت الحرف لتغيير صوته تماماً:
These tiny golden marks are placed above or below the letter to completely change its sound:
​1️⃣ الفتحة (Fatha): خط صغير فوق الحرف (a) َ
2️⃣ الضمة (Damma): واو صغيرة فوق الحرف (u) ُ
3️⃣ الكسرة (Kasra): خط صغير تحت الحرف (i) ِ

حرف الباء (ب) يتغير صوته هكذا:

​💡 نصيحة للمبتدئين | Tip for Beginners:
لاحظوا في الصورة المرفقة كيف تشترك الحروف (ب، ت، ث) في نفس شكل "الطبق" الأساسي؟ الفرق الوحيد والأهم هو مكان وعدد النقاط! ركزوا عليها جيداً.
💡 In the attached image, notice how the letters (Baa, Taa, Thaa) share the same basic "plate-like" shape? The only and most important difference is the placement and number of dots! Focus on them.
