Meet Janet: She is a qualified teacher and well known in El Gouna for her interactive and fun Arabic lessons. She will support us as a freelancer and teach native speakers as well as children that are new to this country's language!

We are happy to have such an experienced educator in our team!

At EduSpace, our instructional language is English. The children will also have plenty of opportunities to talk in German and Arabic and receive several formal classes weekly according to the curriculum.

What is alternative education? It encompasses many pedagogical approaches differing from mainstream pedagogy. Alternative schools often emphasise small class sizes, close relationships between students and teachers and a sense of community. They create a positive learning environment where children are offered more support. ⁣

For us at EduSpace, children are not just little people, waiting to grow up- They are unique individuals with special needs. We support different learning styles and give students time and autonomy.⁣

We are an accessible educational project- Our class size is relatively small, that is why we can easily adapt our teaching style to a diverse student body. We encourage an inclusive culture in our classroom and are also able to support students that are struggling with learning difficulties, reading, socialisation ...

Our students should feel comfortable and confident to be themselves. Therefore, we will provide learning experiences that suit them and will ensure that everyone feels valued and can add value.

Laura, our main teacher, has been working with children with different abilities for many years throughout all age groups and is currently also teaching the subject "Inclusive Pedagogy" at the IU International University of Applied Science.

Our students will receive minimal input, and work mostly independently. And of course they are welcome to ask questions - we will always guide them to investigate and research!

Our setting encourages group work and peer teaching. With that, we are fostering teamwork, cooperation, patience and better social skills ♥️
